The One and Only Big Daddy
Texas has got themselves a stud:thumbsup:
Wow BI....how'd Jim Tressel let this blue-chipper get away to my beloved Longhorns???

Yes, it would have been nice to get him, but he has ties to the Texas program. His mom is good friends with the strength coach.
Also he is from what we call “Boner country”. Which is rural, suburban and exurban Southwestern Ohio (outside of the City of Cincinnati) that is in John Boehner’s congressional district. That area of the State is very anti Columbus and Ohio State and we have never recruited very well there.
He made no bones about hating northern winters and had no particular loyalty to Ohio because he isn’t from here originally.
Also, What the story does not tell you is that it was a three way race that included Florida because the Cincinnati Enquirer is so anti Ohio State, its sick.
With all that said its disappointing that we didn’t get him, but the big fish I want is Latreal Henderson out of Minnesota.
I have heard about Latreal Henderson I have never seen him play though I heard he was pretty darn good
You mean Seantrel Henderson I think. The stud tackle out of St. Paul?

Hope he goes to my Hurricanes! He's a beast!!

He's from South Carolina. He said "he's not from here[Ohio]." So his loyalty is a question. And his decision making processes. Maybe OSU dodged a bullet.

According to Rivals--there's only 2 -- 5star rated LBs in the entire nation for 2010?? Huh? (Texas just landed one of them. Hicks. The other guy hasn't decided yet.)
I know stars don't mean squat on the field, but still...what does that mean? High school athletes are getting too big to be LBs and are being moved to DL? :dunno:
Dodged a bullet? In what capacity, MD? He's the #1 rated LB prospect in the nation. :dunno:
Maybe he's a problem waiting to erupt.
Other than the fact that he doesn't like the winter weather in Ohio (neither do I by the way for the most part), I don't see anything about this kid to make anyone think he's a "problem waiting to erupt". You may end up being right but right now I'm willing to take my chances. Everything I read about him indicates he'll be a superstar on defense.
Any Buckeye supporter who alleges they "dodged a bullet" by not signing him sounds more like sour grapes than anything else as far as I can see. I know I would sure feel that way if OSU stole some blue-chipper from us so....

Well there is a quite persistent rumor that Pitt has all but officially joined the Big 10/11. It makes sense geographically but I don't see how it would help open up any new markets. Penn State already takes in western PA. It would give both football and basketball a boost as far as competition goes plus give the Nittney Lions a natural rival. I don't see how they would split up the divisions though. There would be way to much power in the east to go with an east/west alignment. A north/south alignment makes no sense. Anything else would interfere with some long standing rivalries.
Oh well I don't believe anything until I see the news conference.
