duke is about to lose and butler is about to win. that hurts my bracket. didn't expect this.
I agree. Butler has not place to be in this game. Wisconsin on paper was the bigger and better team but Butler wanted it more and won.

I totally agree with you that betting against a team you play for or manage is a total nono......although I don't have a problem with people [see Pete Rose] betting for a team they play for or manage.

Yeah, well the money I won on the game was enough to buy a plane ticket to Florida. Purdue had no business being favored in that game and hadn't played well the last three games. I knew we were going to lose and gambled accordingly. I'd say it paid off.
There's no such thing as bad karma. That's bullshit. Purdue lost because they were unprepared and out coached.
wow Kentucky has never beaten ohio state in a tournament game until tonight. I feel bad for some of the ohio state seniors but the tournmanet goes on. Sullinger will get drafted at least.

I suppose you have an explanation for why the Boilers weren't prepared for a tourney game. I mean...what are they playing for all season if they're going to get to the tourney and not prepare for win or go home situation?
I would say the feeling you felt of them not reaching their potential in this tourney was a bit of bad karma...:tongue:

When Duke went out so did my chances of winning my pool so now I am just enjoying all these close games and hoping for more upsets! I really hate KU so I'm hoping they don't make the Final Four though their road does seem a lot easier than any other "big" team.

I'm loving the dark horse Virginia Commonwealth. Always root for the underdog, especially in hoops. :hybrid:
No doubt about it, the conference is a mediocre conference. I'm willing to bet that it's because the majority of the schools are in cold weather states. Whataya gonna do. When it comes to college hockey, players are more than willing to show loyalty to their state's respective college teams, but NCAA basketball is entirely different altogether.
