Texas got robbed. Joseph clearly called a timeout. Cleeaaarrlly.

You're right....on the replay it looked to me like it was at about 4.7 seconds that he called the timeout. Still, they should never have been in that position to begin with. Remember, Thompson got the rebound off a bad shot by Arizona with about 14 seconds left. We had the lead and possession of the ball so Arizona had no choice but to foul. So why the fuck did Rick Barnes call a fucking timeout???? Especially puzzling since we had to inbound the ball under the opponent's goal. Everyone knew they'd be trapping.....WTF was Barnes thinking about???

Fuck the time out. Have Thompson try to get the ball to Brown, Hamilton....anybody....and let 'em foul him. That's the way you play the game when you have the lead and possession as time runs out....you force the other team to foul you. You definitely DON'T call a time out!!!! Congrats to Arizona because they outplayed Texas for most of the game but the 'Horns had this one in the bag and Rick Barnes pissed it away. I don't blame the officials. Barnes fucked it up.

Oh I don't know, I think it's a pretty good hedge strategy, and it's one I've employed several times.
If your team wins you lose a few bucks but you're happy.
If your team loses you can console yourself with your financial windfall.
Either way you have something to celebrate

Having played sports all my young life...I (as have many) developed superstitions. Betting either way on your own team isn't good to begin with in my book but betting against them...ever..:nono::o

Even on the put back dunk...the AZ kid driving got fouled...or there was a bump that would have most certainly been a foul had his jersey read 'Duke' across the front.
