^^i was sympathetic to you missing the game, but come on, cut the irish some slack - USC is not a top 10 team, someone has to beat them down.

Sorry, there isn't anything in the universe that I hate more than ND football. It doesn't matter who they play, I root against the Irish. I don't like anything about the team (coach, players, fans, alumni, school colors, or touchdown Jesus) and a loss for them is as good as a win for my Boilermakers. So technically, my teams went 2-0 today. :D

well, well. charlie weis has not EVER had one really significant win. He has NEVER won against a higher ranked team.

I think the Irish looked pretty good. They likely won't be ranked next week, however, and they surely shouldn't be.

Bradford got hurt, again. In all honestly as much as people want players to come back for their senior years this is an example why it's stupid financially to not go into the NFL draft as soon as your expected to be drafted high.

I think Notre Dame is a garbage team. This should not have been close. 34-14 looked about right. Most of those personal foul calls were complete bullshit. The one against Everson Griffin and the one against Taylor Mays when he knocked some domer out who was tiptoeing down the sideline were OUTRAGEOUS and basically handed ND 2 scores.

Matt Barkley played some pretty solid football. He made some throws that were off-the-fucking hook. I think he'll be walking to the NFL after next year.

Maybe Big Boy can weazel another 5 year extension out of notre dame after this loss. :dunno:

We had ample opportunities to pick up a fumble in the 4th and basically end the game but we couldn't jump on it.

The refs basically stopped calling HOLDING against nd on Jimmy's last drive. I loved how Jimmy panicked and threw it away on that 3rd and 10. His heisman shot is over. He wasn't the best QB out there today and they didn't win. Case closed.

Now...if the other USC can win today, it will truly be perfect...

From what I saw of the Red River Rivalry...Texas was lucky to win.

#1 florida barely wining to an unranked team

#3 texas - barely winning over an unraked team.

#4 virginia tech losing to #19 georgia tech

#6 usc barely squeaking by #25 notre dame

#7 ohio state losing to an unranked team

#15 nebraska losing to an unranked team

#17 kansas getting whopped by unranked team

quite the weekend in college football. I'm glad I don't have to do the rankings...

Going 0-12 was not as bad as what I just witnessed. Oregon is going to destroy us. USC can have Nick Holt back anytime, he hasnt done shit for UW except look mad.

Not to split hairs, but Texas won against #20 ranked Oklahoma (AP Poll).

Alabama is clearly the team that is separating from the pack right now. Florida looked woefully one-dimensional against a spunky Arkansas team and would likely have lost had it not been given a gift-wrapped TD by the officials. Texas was indeed lucky....Colt McCoy looks very shaky. The only thing that saved them was their defense stepping up when it mattered. USC was also fortunate to eke out a win versus the Domers (How long can Weis keep his job??).

Kansas, Nebraska, Va Tech....all pretenders evidently.

BCS busters TCU and Boise St. keep rolling. Too bad they won't even get a sniff of the title game should either go undefeated.

Cincinnati, Miami and Iowa solidified their positions this week as well.

Here is the latest Jagger69 top 10 poll out just tonight:

1) Alabama
2) Florida
3) Texas
4) Miami
5) Cincinnati
6) Iowa
7) USC
8) Boise St.
9) TCU
10) LSU

amen on the officials they flagged florida all the way down the field for the tieing td.......where are they getting these stripped guys??? out of the cheap seats???? what some sucky calls i have seen this year...they should just turn this game into 2 hand touch:mad:

Bama should definitely be #1. UF hasn't impressed at all this year.

Thank God for Bama's defense... the offense looked pretty bad last night except for Ingram.

Wow....no shit. What the fuck have they done to gain that ranking? There are four quality undefeated teams ranked below them! Too many AP writers who are in Southern California I guess. That said, Alabama definitely deserves the #1 rank in my view.

Not to be redundant, but this whole system is a total fucking joke. I can't wait to see the first BCS ranking come out.
