Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
Ok, so who's gonna take it all this time? 6 weeks left in the season so we can debate this as the season unwinds.
My take is that either Detroit or Chicago (the Sox of course!) will snare it. The team with the best pitching usually can prevail in a short series and these 2 teams have terrific pitching staffs.
My darkhorse candidate is Minnesota. As of today, they are only a game behind the White Sox for the wild-card slot which will undoubtedly come from the AL Central (strongest division in baseball by a long shot). The Twins' pitching staff is fantastic as well.
No homerism here either....I'm an NL guy and a Cardinal fan so these choices are unbiased.
What do you guys have to say about it?
