And your team is who?

Other than the Yankees, fuhgettaboutit. No other team has a storied past, steeped deep into baseball history, lore, and traditions.

Wiki:
The St. Louis Cardinals are a professional baseball team based in St. Louis, Missouri. They are members of the Central Division in the National League of Major League Baseball. The Cardinals have won 11 World Series championships, the most of any National League team, and second overall only to the New York Yankees, who have won 27. They have played in 18 Fall Classics, tying them with the Dodgers and Giants for most World Series appearances among National League clubs and second overall to the Yankees' 40 appearances. The Cardinals are the reigning World Series champions, having defeated the Texas Rangers in seven games in the 2011 World Series.

The Cardinals were founded in the American Association in 1882 as the St. Louis Brown Stockings, taking the name from an earlier National League team. They joined the National League in 1892, and have been known as the Cardinals since 1900. They were called the "Perfectos"[6] in 1899. The Cardinals began playing in the current Busch Stadium in 2006. The Cardinals have a long-standing rivalry with the Chicago Cubs.

And the following is for Andronicass

Cardinals–Cubs rivalry

The Cardinals–Cubs rivalry refers to games between the Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs. The rivalry is also known as the I-55 series (or in earlier years the Route 66 series), deriving its name from the roadway connecting the two cities, Interstate 55 (which itself succeeded the famous U.S. Route 66). The Cubs lead the series 1,096–1,054 through 2011,[27] while the Cardinals lead in National League pennants with 18 against the Cubs' 16. The Cubs have won 10 of those pennants in Major League Baseball's Modern Era (1901-present), while all 18 of the Cardinals' pennants have been won since 1901. The Cardinals also have a clear edge when it comes to World Series successes, having won 11 championships to the Cubs' 2. The Cardinals have enjoyed an overwhelming advantage over their Chicago rivals in the regular season standings since the Cubs last participated in a World Series (1945) :in the 66 seasons from 1946 through 2011 the Cardinals have finished ahead of the Cubs 49 times. In that same span the Cardinals have had 45 seasons in which their winning percentage was over .500, while the Cubs have finished over that mark 19 times (they finished at an even .500 twice) . Cardinals-Cubs games see numerous visiting fans in either St. Louis' Busch Stadium or Chicago's Wrigley Field.[30] When the National League split into two, and then three divisions, the Cardinals and Cubs remained together. This has added excitement to several pennant races over the years, most recently in 1989, 2003 and 2004; the first two times the division title was won by the Cubs, the third by the Cardinals, who went on to win the National League pennant as the Cubs faltered in the second half of the 2004 season.

Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, also known simply as Paris Saint-Germain and familiarly as Paris SG or PSG (IPA: [peɛsʒe]), is a professional association football club based in Paris, France. The club was founded on 12 August 1970, thanks to the merger of Paris FC and Stade Saint-Germain. PSG has been playing in the Ligue 1 since 1974, the current championship record, and is one of the most prestigious outfits in French football having won two League titles, eight French Cups, three League Cups and two Champions Trophies. Paris Saint-Germain, along with Olympique de Marseille, is one of only two French clubs to have won a major European trophy, claiming the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1996. Paris Saint-Germain was named IFFHS World's Club Team of the Year in 1994 and ranked 1st in the UEFA Team Ranking in 1998. The capital club is the only French club to ever achieve these honours. Paris Saint-Germain is currently ranked 16th in the IFFHS and 46th in the UEFA Team Ranking.
The Parc des Princes, with a capacity of 48,712 seats, has been Paris Saint-Germain's home since 1973. The Camp des Loges has been operating as a training centre for the club since 1974. The Tournoi de Paris has been hosted by PSG at the Parc des Princes since 1975.
The capital club shares an intense rivalry with Olympique de Marseille and contest the most notorious football match in France, known as "Le Classique". PSG is the second best-supported football club in France after arch-rivals Marseille.

"Le Classique" also known as "Derby de France", is a football match contested between French top-flight clubs Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille. The term "Le Classique" is modeled on the "El Clásico", contested between Real Madrid and Barcelona. The tension between OM and PSG fans is legendary, and both clubs' world-class stadia, the Stade Vélodrome and the Parc des Princes, respectively, are renowned for the white-hot atmosphere and fervent fans. More and more, the various groups of Marseille and Parisian supporters have hated and battled each other. Important security measures are taken to prevent confrontations between the fans, but violent episodes still often occur every time the duo meet.
Despite their recent ups and downs, PSG and OM remain, along with Saint-Étienne, the only French clubs with a truly nationwide, faithful and passionate fan base, giving the country's biggest match a special atmosphere.

You sure you're not an Angels fan now? Or are you saving that for your next persona?

No, not at all. I never was crazy for him (Pujols). Honestly, I would much rather see a team fielded with all white guys.

Congratulations, Sam! The team you decided to follow last year won the World Series. I look forward to watching you switch teams (as you did with the Broncos) this year once the playoffs roll around. Meanwhile, I'll enjoy watching as the Cubs try to avoid losing 100 games this year. Should be awesome.

Between the Cardinals and Cubs only the Cubs have won the World Series in back-to-back years - '08 and '09. Reflect on that.

That '08 team was awesome. Mordecai Brown as the ace of the staff, Frank Chance at first and managing, and Johnny Evers and Joe Tinker up the middle. There's a great book on this season called Crazy '08. It's an excellent read if your a Cubby fan or a fan of baseball history.

I'm a Cardinal fan too....huge in fact. But I won't dignify the existence of any national league team from Chicago by even mentioning their name. They are that insignificant. Always will be.

They even stole our announcer. Everyone thinks Harry Caray is a Chicago guy. He broadcast Cardinal games for a lot longer than he did those guys up north. Losers forever they are. And thiefs. Ha ha

I'm relatively certain that thieves is the correct plural, Scooter.

And Harry Caray went from the Cardinals to the A's (the Cardinals fired him by the way) to the White Sox and then to the Cubs. To say the Cubs stole him from St. Louis is fucking retarded in addition to being completely erroneous. And Harry only gained national recognition after he started broadcasting for the Cubs. Fact.

Any other bright ideas you'd like to share?

And Harry only gained national recognition after he started broadcasting for the Cubs. Fact.

Only because that is about the time cable television swept the country and WGN broadcast damn near every game. National exposure. His worst years were with the Flubs. He was basically retarded by then and Steve Stone was often heard on mic cringing at the retarded shit that Harry was blabbering about. WGN more than likely snagged him for ratings. Which means people in the baseball world already knew of him.

Cardinals had him when he was at the top of his game. As were the Cardinals.
