There hasn't been a good back-and-forth controversial thread in a few days, so I decided to start one.

As any reasonable person would do after reading up on the topic and weighing all the variables, I find your argument not only wrong, but quite narrow-minded and immature. Rebuttal?

How about finding a controversial news story and posting it? Then just stand back and watch all hell break loose.

And you can do that with any number of topics. I mean, hell, you could come in and say either:

A. "Abortion is wrong! It's ******!"

or

B. "I think abortions should be free on demand for anyone 11 years old and up!"


And hell, you'll get a thread that is so controversial, it's bound to be closed by a mod within minutes.

cuz many of the homeless are crazy people, and many of them were set into the streets (in the u.s.) by reagan-era policies
p.s. the governator arnold is contemplating doing something quite similar in california, including closing mental health facilities and ceasing the providing of medication for the crazy folk...yaaaay! more crazy people while i ride the bus

Yup, he's really got his priorities straight, right? I mean, like there's no other ways to cut the budget, the state is going broke and just close down mental hospitals, cut school budget, cut the police and fire budget first. And all bureucrats get a pay raise!! And we'll spend millions on bike trails!! And more money for welfare!!

Oh yeah? Well I totally disagree. Talk about narrow-minded!!! How can you have such reactionary views on a black-and-white issue like this??? The truth is plain for any reasonable person to see and those who would take exception to this statement are not only wrong, they are ill-informed and ignorant.

I expected nothing less from you. I sometimes wonder how you can walk down the street with those blinders on. it is a wonder you can find the front door of your abode. If the world were "black-and-white" (as you so easlily claim), this would be a moot issue. Maybe you have tinted blinders one, but my world is not "black-and-white" and the multiple variables in this instances make blanket statements such as yours worthless. Are you just regurtigating what a radio talkshow said?

Listen fella. You've totally missed the entire point of the discussion. And I have no idea why you decided to bring that tangent issue into the discussion. IT HAS NO RELEVANCY!!! And one more thing, we all saw it coming a long time ago. You just weren't able to keep up and none of us wanted to clue you in that you were totally offbase.

I am astonished that someone walking the streets in 2009 has such a bass ackward view of this issue. Seriously. Read a newspaper sometime and if there are words in the articles other than and, or, but, is, and the that you don't understand...find a dictionary.
