I'm with Tunsty with this one. I care but I quit worrying about the price of gas. Since there isn't any real way for myself to directly affect it I just figure it will be what it is. If it gets too expensive I will quit buying it that’s all. Or I will do fewer things that require me to use it.

Oh that's a good one. Try not using gasoline in Motown, or wherever you live in Michigan! ROFLMAO Not happening...

We're slaves to the market, I'm afraid. :thefinger
 :nanner: :hatsoff:

wa wa wa wa we can all whine and mope or we can minimise our fuel consumption by using the car as little as possible. For example my local shopping centre (mall for the yanks) is only 300 metres away. i don't drive down there anymore as it is a waste on my car. I have 1 train station 2 kilometres away and another that is 3 kilometres. I either walk to the my closest one, or to the further one to get more exercise. OR i will catch the bus to the station as the 2km one is a bus/train interchange. And this so far has saved me 3000 AUD this year and 1500 AUD last year. i mean that is a trip to London (without adequate spending money) but it is a HUGE saving.

sure i use my car to get to parts of the city that have poor or no public transport available but my state government is working hard on that as they see that public transport is a way to save the environment and not only save petrol money but also wear and tear on your car. Some of my uni mates have done over 400,000 km's on their cars, i have only done 153,000 my car will last longer.

i know what i will choose. i think we as a society must consider saving our wallet and our environment.

I walked into a gas station today and held out a five. I asked for gas and he took my money and farted.

That's how expensive it is where I live.

$2.62 per gallon today....dropping still where I live. Aegean, did you ACTUALLY ever drive 300 meters to the mall? That's FUCKING lazy! That's like walking 4 houses down a suburban/residential block!!! lol

Luckly I live where you don't have to fear for your life walking down the street. The dogs that chase you are a different matter now.

Whatever the price .....its way too much......damn.....gonna get me a Flintstone car

$2.46 per gallon here today, but with Hurricane Rita on the cusp, there's speculation of it going to $3.00 per gallon again. Fill 'em up now, folks!

It got down to $2.36 here for a VERY short spell, then this damn hurricane showed up and it's back to hovering at $2.49

It's still $2.46 per gallon here tonight. After the direct deposit of my pay goes into my bank account tonight, I'm running out there and filling up the fucking tank first thing in the a.m. There's speculation that it could go to 5-6 bucks per gallon once Rita hits.
