The Final Countdown

the premise is stupid but cool as hell. The American aircraft carrier USS Nimitz encounters some freak storm at sea and travels back in time to December 6, 1941, 1 day before Imperial Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor. Yeah, they can't believe it either.

GOMG i love that movie, especially the part that you pointed out with the "Splash the Zeroes" fight. But one good one too is the one where the Tomcats first flyover the yacht.

Watch it from that point and go all the way to at least 2:50. Also...turn up your volume to max and crank up the base. One of the reasons i like this scene is because i used to live right outside of Kadena Air Base in the early 90's and my house was almost right under the flight path their aircraft took when they were taking off. Little area next to the seawall called "Sunabe" outside the main gate, you can actually look it up on google maps too hehe. So anyways i had F-4's, F-15's and even SR-71's taking off and zooming past my house. I remember it sounding almost exactly like in the clip i included. Right from the rumbling approach to the kwwwaaaa----wooooooshhhh as it flew past you and then away from you and then just the rumble.

Yeah I've been through Kadena a few times on layovers. I loved watching from the terminal the F-15's and F-16's take off and land. Beautiful birds.
