Probably my fav movie ever, this scene is so true it's tragic, I've always felt this way at funerals.

For the EMPEROR!!
That scene from The Siege of Firebase Gloria, where Sgt Major Haffner (R Lee Ermey) carries the severed heads and gives the rest of the grunts a 'pep' talk.

[Sgt Haffner brandishing two severed heads]"Anyone know who these belong to? This is Corporal Miller. He's dead. Hell, the whole gun crew's dead. And to add insult to injury, Charlie took the fucking fifty-fucking caliber machine gun with him. I don't have any respect for Corporal Miller anymore, because he allowed his troops to relax. They let their guard down for five fucking minutes, and Charlie took advantage of it. Look at 'em, Goddammit! Pay attention. Stay alert! Stay alive! It's as simple as that!"

Couldn't find a good vid of it though.

This summed up the saying "Never show up with a knife in a gun fight" back in the eighties. What an epic movie.

The Final Countdown

the premise is stupid but cool as hell. The American aircraft carrier USS Nimitz encounters some freak storm at sea and travels back in time to December 6, 1941, 1 day before Imperial Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor. Yeah, they can't believe it either.

America, hell f'n yeah!

Yep, that story is quite far-off, but the film is very well made, and as much as I am sure the german synchronization took a lot away, the line, "Knallt die Japse ab!" is as good as in the original
