I had a bunch in the mid 70's, Most with Kung-Fu grip. Some talked. I remember there was a bionic G.I Joe and a couple of weird guys called the Intruders, the enemy of G.I.. and the Bulluthead guy. My favorite I wish I still had was Eagle Eye, his eyes moved back and forth, kinda creepy looking. There were also some similar lines of G.I Joe figures like Action Jackson and Big Jim.
Hers a few cool pages:

I actually had a really nice action figure collection which I sold a few years back with about 60+ mostly super hero's, Star Trek, Planet of the Apes, Happy Days, Chips, Starky& Hutch, Dukes of Hazzard, Ect from the mego line (1970's) in beautiful condition. got about 7 grand for it selling piece by piece.
I had much of this kids awesome collection. I'll always regret selling them.

Many of his figures towards the lower half of the page are custom, not true vintage figs.

This thread is funny, I actually was perusing some of the websites dedicated to GI Joe about a month ago. I had a bunch of Joe's and vehicles and bases. The only things I really played with when I was little was Star Wars and GI Joe. I had a shit ton of each of these two action figure lines.

KFD, I know what you mean about going down memory lane with members that are not here anymore. I sure do miss Nightfly, he usually made me laugh with his posts, the ones that were funny that is RIP!

Anyway here is the Joe link, and they are catergorized by year, have fun

GI Joe rocks. Big fan of the comics. I hope to get an Arashikage clan tattoo this winter.
I'm so looking forward to the live action movie. I can't help but wonder how they are going present Destro, with his mask.

what the fuck you lookin at?
GI Joe was the shit back in the day! Then my dog ate most of them and they came out in a pile of shit...

I confess, I was a GI Joe murderer.

I wonder if there is a correlation between kids that kill their GI Joe's, and adults that turn out to be liberals.

although I think that the use of firecrackers counts as defense of the 2nd amendment.

they need to update these things. I'm gonna get me a waterboaring Joe.

Ok, that's its. I've ran out of political punditry... for now. :shifty eye emotican:

Is that what you're looking for?

Does anyone know how many GI Joes there actually were? I had about 100 different ones, but every time I went to Toys R Us I'd see about 5 that I'd never seen before.

Alot......There was the 60's Joe's, the 70's and the mini Joe's of the 80's.
Not sure how many were made, I,m sure over a thousand .... but also you need to account for variations.
There are a few good websites that may have lists I'm sure.

Try going back in time to my day, when GI Joe was a 12" tall figure you could put uniforms on and give him all kinds of weapons.
