don't believe the hype. Rumble Roses is weak. They girls look good, when you they are pulling off moves or just standing still. everything else in between looks horrible.

Fight Night is one of the first games on the system that really looks nex-gen..and it's fun. I also heard good things about oblivion.

DOA 4, is cool...but it's the same game you've played before. A couple of the levels have noticably upscaled graphics..but most looks the same. I actually think the DOA 2 remake on the first xbox is much better.

Just keep an eye out for Gear of War.
That title has "Worldwide Hit" written all over it.
Also, next to the anounced GTA 4, you might want to look in at Saint's Row.
It's looking pretty much fun IMO.

Just finished Prey, not bad, nice graphics, great story, 22 levels in 3 days though, that can't be a great selling point. I dont think id play it again though, half the achievements are multiplayer and not very difficult to achieve either even though ive no interest in earning them.

That's the same complaint I heard, that it's not very challenging. I have the game, but haven't played it yet.

Oh you'll be pleased by it none the less, just pace yourself. Theres a mention of NFS and I have to concur, thats one of the better racing games I've ever played and I normally dont like racing. Its the strangest rush you get when you outrun a pursuit, win the achievement and climb the ladder. If I could recomend any game thats one to go for, very challenging, great customability with the cars and alot of fun to be had.

A really good thing to remember is that the Xbox360 was meant to be played on a high-definition (HI-def) television. One of the reasons why the graphics look so amazing is that the technology of plasma screens greatly enhances the detail of the games. If you took the regular Xbox and hooked it up to a HI-def TV, you'd see that it makes a HUGE difference. The 360, unlike its predecessor, has a superb-quality graphics card--it's the kind that goes hand-in-hand with a HI-def TV. I sort of feel like I keep repeating myself, but that's okay. The whole point of this post?... Play the 360 through an up-to-date Hi-def screen. The graphics card, video card, and extra memory are the only additions to the new Xbox. Oh yeah! Don't forget the new console style!

Yeah but the graphics of a game dont save it from being a shit waste of £50. Everyone knows it was intended for the Hi-Def era and I feel sorry for anyone who ran out and bought a £600 tv just to make the game look a wee bit better. Im all for a game looking great, but unless you can get your moneys worth from the gameplay and enjoy what you bought, then dont talk to me about the graphics, im not gonna sit there and think "Its a total piece of shit, but it looks so good I have to keep it!", your gonna have a strange set of priorities if thats how you think towards a game.

I for one am greatly pleased with the 360. There are some very solid games out now and so many amazing games on the horizon for starters Fight Night is gorgeous and solid play then there is oblivion this is one of the best rpg's ever on a console and there are regular live updates also prey is very good great story not incredibly long but the multiplayer is also good and of course NCAA 2007 this game has me seriously excited for madden and the play mechanics have improved over last years then we get to look forward to gears of war, chromehounds, NHL07, Madden, saint's row, too human, N3, and of course HALO3!!! i mean we should have all known it takes a good 8-10 months for studios to finally get out there real solid games and its gettin closer to the holiday season which means that our average releases per month should jump from 3-5 to more in the area of 7-10.

Thanks for all your suggestions, they were very useful. I did as you said and decided to wait for the holiday season for most games to come out, however I couldn't wait for Fight Night and purchased it. Amazing. And this month I'm getting Madden 2007 HOF edition. Can't wait.
