Stunning news about Edge.
Really saddening. It also looks like Smackdown will be a must-see this week for his title to be vacated.
In 2003, Edge underwent a two level spinal fusion of the discs between his C5, C6 and C7 vertebrae. After being cleared to compete, The Rated-R Superstar returned to the ring, resulting in stenosis of the spine, or a narrowing of the spinal column, above and below the fused discs. This narrowing resulted in less and less of the vital fluid needed to protect the spinal cord. Medical professionals cannot clear Edge to compete ever again in WWE since doing so could result in paralysis or even death.

I wonder if WWE will put him in the HOF next year like they did for Shawn Michaels. He's a definite lock for it one day.

That's some crazy news, especially with him being champ & all? I wonder how he competed with his neck injury all this time! Thank You Edge! One of the greats 
It brought home how old I am haha, I remember him making his WWF debut and thinking at the time he could go to the top.
Shame to see him go but surely a place in the WWE HOF is waiting for him along with still begin involved in some form. Wonder what the plans are for the title, Alberto Del Rio will surely pick it up now.

I remember when I first saw Edge come through the crowd with "You Think You Know Me" blasting and the camera looking around for him. Gonna miss you, Edge!

I also read that a Christian heel turn was talked about going into Mania, but when all this came up they nixed it to let Edge go out on top.

I remember when he was part of The Brood, with Christian and Gangrel, wearing fangs. I loved their entrance. Also that they would drench their opponents in blood.
Ah those were the days, the entrance from underneath the stage was brilliant.
Edge was a helluva wrestler and it's a shame he had to go. One of my best memories of him was watching No Mercy 2001 at my grandparent's house and my grandpa, who hated wrestling, came in during the Edge vs Christian ladder match and told me "No puedo creer que vo estoy viendo." -- I can't believe what I'm seeing, then he proceeded to watch the rest of the pay-per-view with me because he was so impressed by that one match.
Damn, I can't believe WWE missed the opportunity for another Edge V Christian feud, even if they had done a Face vs Face match it would have been sick

It's a pretty good DVD set. The only issues I have with it is that there's no biography on him and he's in character the entire DVD set.

Edge tribute in Albany Smackdown post show. WWE.com might have the actual footage after SD airs Friday as a '.com exclusive'. They may even save this for the special features on the WrestleManiaXXVII dvd

i'll wait for a new one than. i like the biography's and not having them in character the whole time is good. i want to hear from the human being ...not the character and his catch phrases
