i think wrestling is gone down hill i use to love it now i could care less

Same. The last time I watched wrestling was probably 7-8 years ago. There's too many other things going on to care about something that is never ending and fake at the same time.

You might as well stop watching movies then or tv all together. Shows and movies will always be around and they are fake. Its a form of entertainment. People who usually says something can't be entertaining and fake usually never think about what they are actually saying.

Damn it, someone beat me to being an asshole and defending this form of entertainment.

Without the assholiness, though.

Not really surprising that Smackdown would end up on the SyFy channel. NBC Universal owns both the SyFy channel and USA Network. WWE also has a pretty good relationship with NBC Universal.

yea i meant content-wise...NBC Universal have their hands in a LOT of media outlets...

SyFy: "Syfy is a media destination for imagination-based entertainment. With year-round acclaimed original series, events, blockbuster movies, classic science fiction and fantasy programming..."

just seems like it could have found a better home...wrestling is not science fiction...or is it?

Pure fiction, no science involved.

I used to be big time into wrestling...from about 1990 right up until about Wrestlemania 20 and then I totally lost interest. It was at it's prime when there was WWF, WCW and ECW all at the top of their game. The whole NWO thing shot wrestling into the stratosphere and there probably will never be a time like it.

I do confess to watching bits of Raw every now and then and they do seem to have a good thing going with the Nexus...as an ex wrestling obsessive I think it's obvious the way they should go with it but it just won't happen because the creative geniuses behind it all always seem to drop the ball...just like they did with the WCW/ECW Alliance.

i dont bother watching raw...i mean...are you gunna watch raw tonight or the vikings vs jets? raw is up against MNF...and randy's return to minn...and all the beef with the jets...only thing interesting is cena and how he handles taking orders

Yeah but I think demographic wise, SyFy is the only other option. USA, I think has other shows so they probably can't fit Smackdown into their schedule. NBC, Bravo, A&E, and Telemundo are probably the wrong demographics.

Simple, I'm watching RAW. I don't watch football.

I skip back and forth between Raw and Monday Night Football.

Anyway, I can't believe this idea only occured to me recently:
One of the main reasons for WWE's turn into a PG-rated, family-friendly show.
Linda McMahon. If WWE programming was more racy or violent, like back in the Attitude era, then that would affect Linda's campaigning. If she wins, then I doubt WWE would stray from the PG-rating, at least until she is out of office and quits politics. Politics is a motherfucker.

their basically saying, screw the old school fans that made what the WWE is today...i must say tho...a couple of weeks ago randy kicking jericho's head off was sick...was that PG? lol...i like how edge is wrestling and going against everything stupid...and on another note...that GM thing is getting old

Both

Honestly, I haven't watched any wrestling show live for about 5 years now. If it wasn't for my DVR I don't know if I would still watch it. This way if something bothers me I just skip ahead.

i dont watch raw or smackdown anymore either...i just go on the wwe site and look at the results if it's worth watching on youtube...and as always, it's not worth watching

That was funny. I knew exactly what Goldust was gonna say to Aksana when he said there was a way for her to stay in the country.

My favorite part was earlier when she punched exactly 666 pounds of pressure. I couldn't stop laughing. Naomi won that contest but in my eyes Aksana won just on grounds of awesomeness.
If not for the marriage thing, they could've worked it into a storyline somehow. I mean, these things don't happen everyday. Maybe work her into a Kane storyline or something. I don't know.
