you know what i always liked TEST, never though WWE used him to his full potential or the fans just didn't "take" to him.
but the more i read in JR's blog the more i feel that these guys...all of these guys from wrestling (wwe, ecw, tna or wherever) have demons and BAD i may say.
i had no idea TEST had to check into a treatment center which also goes to show no matter how much "inside" stuff we read or post,we still don't know it all.
but is it that these guys think they are invinceable? that when they realize they are going down the wrong path it's already too late? im stunned and shocked as isthe last few posters who showed the same shock.
some thing MORE needs to be done. i think the WWE is doing a great job with their wellness program, and it also goes to show that you don't need to be part of the company to get help. they put him through the program and he didn't even work for them anymore.
again i think something MORE needs to be done to stop these horrific young tragedies from happening.
:(

Posted in ECW Alumni on March 14th, 2009

Former WWE wrestler Andrew Martin, known to most fans as Test, was found dead in his Tampa, FL apartment on Friday night. The Tampa Tribune reports:

Police say at this time there is no indication of foul play. Martin was 33.

At about 8 p.m., police responded to the Post Harbour Apartments, 725 Harbour Place Drive, to check on Martin, according to a media release. A neighbor reported that she could see into his apartment through a window and that Martin appeared motionless for several hours.

Officers entered the apartment and found Martin dead. He was transported to the Medical Examiners Office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The date of the autopsy is undetermined at this time.

The next of kin has been notified of the death.

Martin was released from his WWE contract in early 2007 following a violation of the company’s wellness policy. In 2008 he was jailed on a DUI charge, and later credited girlfriend Barbie Blank (aka Kelly Kelly) with helping him get back on track. Martin and Blank split up earlier this year.
