Fuck no. That would require me to leave the great state of Indiana. And that's just not going to happen. Where I'm at right now, Purdue, downtown Indy, Chicago, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway are all within reasonable driving distance. Why would I want to be anywhere else?

Mountains are pretty nice.

Yes, they're great to look to at, but I don't need to live near them. I go hiking in the Smoky Mountains a couple times a year anyway. Tennessee isn't that far away.

I've been thinking a lot about this question lately. I have a degree in media arts, and L.A. is where the entertainment industry is based. I also have a relative who works in that field and is willing to help me get started if I decide to move there. I do want to live somewhere else, but I'm uneasy about moving across the country to live in L.A. I've been to northern California a couple of times, but never L.A. so I'm planning a trip there soon to see how I like it.

I am a failure to the Korean side of my family
Sure why not, I have relatives that live out there and it's not bad.

Fuck yeah. Despite all it's problems, it's still well worth the cost.

I do... I would prefer to live elsewhere, but for right now it's not in the cards.

Born and raised. Wouldn't know any better place within the U.S. Actually of all the places I've spent time in around the U.S. so far I always look forward to going back home to Cali at the end of the trip. :)

South Texas is a lot like California anyway, and in some cases, better. It's probably just as hot and sunny and not too far from some beaches. And also Mexico is not that far away for a little walk on the wild side. And is also as full of illegals as Cali.

Absolutely not. Unless it would be like California in the 1940's / 1950's. As for now? It wouldn't bother me if it slid off into the Pacific Ocean.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
I lived there for awhile back in the 80's and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. But like any other state, there are good places to live, not so good places to live and downright bad places to live. I've settled in and I'm happy where I live now. But would I move back to Cali, if I could live where I wanted to live (not just where I had to live)? Sure. Palos Verdes, Marina del Rey, Malibu, Carmel... hells yeah!

Conspiracy...
Let's see ... earthquakes, wildfires, heavy rains with deadly mudslides, celebrities, San Francisco, the Raiders, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, illegals. Other than that, I'd totally live in Cali.

Yes. You forgot about them attacking children and happy meals.

well, im born and raised. multi generation. once you get past the bullshit liberal politics, its awesome here. everything i could possibly want to do is either in my City, or within a few hours of driving.

scenery, food, drinks, good looking women, architecture, amazing camp grounds, hiking, snow sports, fishing, water sports. cant beat it. as long as you stay in NorCal. socals just a shithole.

Except for the part of your response that I have put in bold, I agree with you 100%.

Also, just my opinion here, but I imagine it would be really easy to get away from a lot of the "bullshit liberal politics," as you put it, if you simply moved away from the mecca of bullshit liberal politics. Southern CA is actually quite conservative, comparatively, to Northern CA... well, aisde from our government's spending habits

Only if I had millions and could afford to live in a nice house on the ocean. And I'd only live there during the winter months so I could still maintain a Canadian citizenship during the summer and still keep the perks of living in Canada.
