Would you class porn stars as prostitutes?

The real question is: If I film myself having sex with a prostitute and then upload the video....does it make us pornstars?

"Porno" stems from the Greek: prostitute and "graphy" from the Greek: picture/image. Hence pornography = pictures of prostitutes.

Therefore anyone engaged in sexually explicit (or implicit) activities for the camera AND for monetary reward is a prostitute in an image.

I would call that END GAME. They are prostitutes, anyone that doesn't think so must have a reason. I think that is the question that is now being begged. I think we know that pornstars are prostitutes, but why do people not like labeling pornstars that?

I also agree. So very true. I myself have never been in denial about it. They expose themselves for on films--and indeed, me and billions of other men enjoy seeing them perform sexually on screen--and then later accept money for it. I see of no real reason why they chouldn't be called as such, especially since many of themoffer "fan fucks" for cash as well as Escourting, which is just tolerated/legalized Prostitution on the sides.

But alas, to each they're own.

Would you class prostitutes as porn stars? :dunno:
I woulden't - so no, porn stars are not prostitutes by definition.
If they do some escorting on the side and take money for sex, then yes.

I know some porn stars do escorting work, but would you not class the hardcore stars who don't escort as prostitutes also?
I mean they are getting paid to have sex?
Any opinions? :1orglaugh

I based on that this is a modern time when traditional meaning does not apply Like that geek word for porno supposed to be pictures of prostitutes That's not true at all this day and age If you know anything about the world today you would not label pornstars as the same thing They do a lot more then just fuck for bucks You need to watch some of the showcase specials about the sex industry to be able to discern prostitution from good business The best one to watch in my oppinion is the vivid documentary series called Porno Valley
If you live in Canada it's on like three times every friday night
see for yourself and that perspective you stated in your original post is a bad one to have if you enjoy pornography see why it's called Freeones Free ones... get it?:yinyang:

It's good to be the king...
Nope (unless they actually take up the oldest profession).

titsrock & Master_Gio summed it up imo...

knows petras secret: she farted.
no. thats why we call prostitutes prostitutes and pornstars pornstars.

whoa... double vision.

It's a case of semantics and in a broad definition you might say 'yes' but IMHO I'd say 'no' in terms of the way each generally operate in their profession.
