Based on the OP's setup and his post-drinks writeup, the wife sounds like someone who likes to be noticed by men and reminded that she's hot and bangable. It sounds a lot like she longs for flirts and furtive glances...the seduction aspect. Maybe she clutches those romance novels to her bosom and merely wants a little something to spice up her dull, dreary life.

Mr. OP--you should flirt with her. Why the fuck not? Maybe she doesn't want to end her marriage, she just wants more sex than her hubby can give her at the moment. We have been conditioned to expect a man to ***** with a woman in your setup. Why not the other way around?
