How can you talk smack about hogan??? sure his wife is a bitch, his daughter a hoe, and is his son a dusche, but he MADE wrestling, without him there would be none of what is on t.v. today. Sure Vince had a lot to do with that, marketing and so forth, but he had HOGAN to market. I guess it took both of them, but still...

Agreed. Prior to that his gimmick had been kinda camp.
Shaved bald, given cool entrance music (which I've been searching for for YEARS!), a bodyguard and a heel persona he was awesome. Too bad they didn't go anywhere with it.

That was what made it the greatest heel turn of ALL time. This one event marked the beginning of the Wrestling Renaissance.

Hogan turning heel was genious, because noone ever thought he was the third guy with Hall and Nash. That threw everyone for the single best loop in wrestling history, sheer genious.
I stopped watching wrestling a couple of years ago. After Eddie Guerrero died I completely stopped caring for it. The only good wrestling nowadays is womens erotic wrestling.

I've gotta say that wcw didnt get much right, the two things they did get were the nwo and hogan as a heel. After all those years of say your prayers and all that, moving him to a bad guy was sheer genious. The nwo was the beginning of a new eara for wrestling. It turned wrestling from a black/white, good guy/bad guy thing and gave it a grey area where they werent good or bad, just on their own side. Doing that probably saved pro wrestling and made it what it is today, where most of the stars are inbetween bad and good. It was too bad that wcw "creative" people just ran out of ideas, having jay leno wrestling and crap like that.
