Huh? No respect for the hardcore guys like Terry Funk or Mick Foley?

nWo in WWE
Agreed.
This was one of the worst missed opportunities for WWE since the botched invasion from wCw the year before. I mean, you got Hogan, Hall, and Nash. Not the best workers in the industry, but three guys with alot of charisma and talent to get the fans involved in their matches? But what happens? Hogan leaves just a scant month after the nWo debut, and Hall is fired/and or quits shortly thereafter. Leaving WWE scrambing to fill the gaps with the likes of Shawn Michaels, and the Big Show (and wasnt Ric Flair of all people something of a member as well? Sheesh!).
This really could have been great. But it's yet another "invasion" that was just totally fucked up beyond repair.
P.S. One horrible gimmick that comes to mind is WCW's "Shockmaster".
Andy Kaufman and Jerry Lawler. It was surreal but also brilliant. In retrospect, it was really dumb but hey that's pro wrestling. We miss you, Andy.

You mean he made additional appearances after that hilarious debut where he fell and busted his ass infront of everyone?Shockmaster was so full of fail, that WCW actually turned his gimmick intoa clumsy oaf.

i think professional wrestling is pretty much WORST in every possible way
haha master of subtletyYup. Pretty shit. I mean.. no (real) offense to those what watch it.. (fags)..
It's perfectly fine to watch such entertainment. (YOU WATCH OILY MEN TOUCHING EACH OTHER!)
It's okay to like wrestling. (If cock is on the menu)
Has anyone mentioned Eugene yet? I fucking hated him so bad.
Getting grown men (and women) to cheer for someone when they know it´s just theatre (they do know it´s just theatre right?). Yeah, i would say that is the most idiotic gimmick ever. If i go see Romeo & Juliet in a theatre i think i´m gonna start yelling "NO, ROMEO, DON´T DO IT, SHE´S NOT REALLY DEAD!!!!" on the top of my lungs. I bet people won´t think i´m an idiot at all after that. I can respect the athletic ability of the performers. It´s the crowd in the arena that make the whole thing completely ridiculous, they obviously don´t have a whole lot going on in the brain department.
