The thread about 50s nuke stuff inspired me to put up some vids from the past that were visions of the "World Of Tommorow".These were optimistic views of the future that said technology and new ways to expolit the planet would solve everything.These are actually all various World Fairs promos.
1st one is from 64-65 fair and is my favorite titled "Out of this world".This is the YouTube link:

2nd one is from 1962 Seatle fair and is titled "Century 21 calling" and was put out by the Bell System and is not nearly as far fetched as the 1st one.In fact phones have progressed way past these 1962 predictions.

Lastly from the 1939 Fair is a presentation in 2 parts called "GM Futurama".
