i'm gonna keep the faith n say England, Sven jus has learn what 'tactics' are :1orglaugh but the talent is defo there. Sorry Americans, i reckon u'll have to wait til 2022 to win, but its gonna happen at some point.

Even if qualifying was difficult, I still think France can do it if all the stars (Henry, Trezeguet, Vieira, Makelele, Thuram...) are in good health and totally fit.

We had only one 2 games with all these players together on the pitch and both were very sucessfull :
France - Ivory Coast : 3-0 (friendly)
Eire - France 0-1

USA... Well err... we let you be the best at Football, Basketball, Baseball but Soccer is for Europe and South America :thefinger

I agree with Fox.
Sweden hasn't got what it takes do to something (although I disagree about Poland); the African teams will surprise because the best soccer players come from poverty, sad but that's the way it is; England are like Real Madrid, packed with shirt selling names and big potential but they don't come through; Holland and Germany do look in fit and I thinking Van Bommel and Makaay (Holland) will also be a great asset to them; Brazil, however, has Roberto Carlos (although he's a better attacker than defender :x) and Dida. This is the first time in a while that Brazil had a decent goalie rather than just 1000 strikers.

I'm not sure if Brazil get it forever - nobody has mentioned it for years although by the old rules, they are currently on 2 wins since they retained it in 70, so they should. Germany and Argentina have both each won it twice since then too, so any of those nations could keep it.

Did they REALLY melt the Jules Rimet Trophy? REALLY? That sucks!!! The current World Cup, then, must be the remains of the melted trophy, after it hardened again. that's why it looks so weird. I actually think the current one is the world's most beautiful trophy and if they can emulate its beauty they are geniuses, but they won't, so Holland or England better win it so we don't have to lose it forever to Buenos Aires or Brasilia or Rio or Cordoba or Sao Paolo... or... gulp... Gelsenkirchen.

Fox

The current world cup was made to replace the jules rimet cup, the jules rimet cup was robbed from the brazilian federation, the thieves actually melted the cup in order to sell it.

Which is the stupidest thing to do, the few pound of gold you could get from the cup are worth nothing, selling the cup to a collector gives you way more money.

They still have the jules rimet cup, but it’s a reproduction, no idea if it’s made with the gold of the original.

I don't make prediction, but we'll beat England again.
All we need is a little hand from God

KO

How can you say that Poland have better chances than Sweden?
Look at the results from the last World Cup and Euro.. Sweden reached the Round of 16 in Wc 2002 while Poland couldnt make it through the group stage. And in Euro 2004 Sweden reached the quarterfinals and Poland wasnt even there, in the tournament!

Brazil doesn't have defensive star but they have very good defensive midifielders such as Emerson (Juventus) and Dida (AC Milan) is a great GK.

last world cup was what 2002 ok...... have u watched the matches lately.... poland has been doing very well against strong opponents

I'm Looking Forward to Luis Figo and The Portugues team hoisting the World Cup Trophy in 2006...still bitter after they lost the 2004 Euro Cup Final :pukey:

Emerson is good and he might not be the biggest star or scorer but he's a player that holds the team from behind and Brazil don't stand a chance without a player like Emerson.

yeah Poland has really improved and most people don't take them into considiration and that's why I think they'll be a surprise.

Now what I mean is that Sweden is underrated and when someone says that "Sweden hasnt got what it takes to do something" and then directly after says that Poland got what it takes, I cant understand that. But I dont mean that Poland is bad.

btw, the winner will be Brazil again.. but I hope not. I would prefer to see a big nation who havent won the title in a long time, like Argentina or Italy.

Firstly, I never meant Poland has a chance to win the cup, we all know that won't happen, and chances are they won't make it pass the group stage, but I do think they'd give hell to a big team in a fight to make it to the next round.
Additionally, I didn't mean that Sweden will go there and have a losing streak, Sweden is rated better than Poland so if they both get the exact same scores people will be more surprised about Poland's scores rather than Sweden's.

Mexico (#5) and USA(#7) are over-ranked, just because they are the only "good" teams in the CONCACAF Zone.

Also there are some strange things, for example Cameroon(#22) (who fail qualifyings) gains 6 ranks while Ivory Coast(#50) (who succeed qualifyings) looses 6 ranks...
