Pretty crazy stuff. She was reported missing but they never even bothered checking her apartment until now?

WTF who was investingating her missing persons case, because they should have abviously know to look in her apartment.

What kind of building does she live in that know one would notice her never comming out of her apartment and never making any noise, wouldnt the land lord suspect anything when it came time to pay the rent?

She must've been in a friendly neighborhood :D
Uh, yyyyyeah ! :o :rofl2:

I wonder what show she was watching lol ! and if in fact the circular on off switch was in the "on" position ?

Who paid the taxes all this time ? Who paid the bills ? Who picked up her mail ? etc.

Amazing what can happen when you're all alone in this world isn't it ?

Wow ! Is all I can say.

Let us know if there's any follow up on this one, Dave.
I'd be delighted to read more.

Definately hard to imagine no one went in the apt all this time.I guess the problems Croatia had for some years splitting off from Yugoslavia might explain how it got overlooked during that period, but all the years prior is hard to understand.:dunno:

and the rest of all reality tv...

Something doesn't smell right.

You got that right!!!! I would really like to have been able to see what condition her "remains" were in. Right now, I'm picturing she smelled like sour milk.

I agree with you guys who wonder about the rent, bills, mail etc. Plus about the skill of the investigations of the police. What a fucked up case.

I imagine she wasnt much more than a skeleton wearing a 60's outfit. Can;t believe the neighbors wouldnt notice the smell of a rotting corpse on a hot summer day for 42 years.

I really don't see how this is possible, certain things don't add up. A landlord is going to not collect rent. Were there no people inquiring to rent the room when they thought she moved out? Too many questions.

good questions. but ...what about the smell?

If the landlord is related to my former roommate, he probably thought that she was just doing laundry.

so when she didn't pay her rent for 42 years the landlord never got suspicious, try to contact her or even resell the place???
