Why's it such a pain in the ass to give some rep???

More and more, when I try to give someone rep points, I get the thingy that says I have to spread rep to others before I can give rep to this person again. First of all, what diff does it make? Second, sometimes I check and it's been a good while since the last time I have, in fact, repped this person. :wtf:

Can we loosen the thumbscrews on this one please?

If you need to spread some rep around before repping someone who deserves it, I'm always available. I don't get repped enough as it is, so you'd really be righting a great injustice to humanity.

The user control panel only shows the last 10, so there's no insight on when the same can be repped.

The "20 people"-treshold seems like a good rule. It also encourages to spread rep more often. But on the other hand, like said before, sometimes someone deserves rep and can't be repped again.

I know Greg already commented on this, but it's true. Have you seen him in there? He's an identifying beast. (and quite a handful in the sack.)

the problem there is that the majority of people doing the asking in the id section just don't have any rep to give. i've gotten dozens of neutral reps from members with only a hand full of posts.

It's very simple. Somewhere along the way someone around here decided to give rep a little meaning...ie FreeOnes points. Not to mention there are those who think rep is a life or death situation.

So we have to have rules so people don't sit there and rep each other to get 2,000 points right away or rep the same person over and over again.

Remember, in the grand scheme of things it means nothing. It's just a game.
