Why do people pay for porn (serious)

If your interest in porn is very general, then you’ll probably be happy with free stuff you can find around the Internet. But if you develop a strong interest that is more specific – in a particular girl or a particular fetish or something like that – then you’ll probably be willing to pay for the full meal rather than just taking a bite here and there for free.

I used to be in the former category, until I found Isobel Wren (whom you may remember from earlier in this thread). I watched her YouTube videos and pretty much fell in love. She’s totally adorable and a really interesting person, and that was the background for learning to appreciate her body (and at least some of her numerous perversions:)). In the end, I appreciated her body a lot more than one I might have noticed more quickly. (Kind of like a great work of art compared to something flashy and shallow, I guess.) I joined her site a few months ago and haven’t once regretted it. Funny how joining a pay site was such a big deal at the time, and now I wonder why I even noticed the cost. Given the quality of the experiences I’ve had, it’s probably the best deal I’ve ever gotten in my life.

I visit this free porn site a lot to check on what are the new addition they've added.
Their partner site is offering members 60 free streaming mins and I took that offer.
Had to say it IS better than the free stuff (which I'm happy with) due to a wide range of selection and HD quality which is a nice feature for porn.

Have to say I was tempted to buy after my 60 mins was over but didn't cause I'm a cheap scape :dunno:

Why do people pay for cars? Porn is a (sometimes) legitimate business and career. If someone is working and trying to make a living by doing this, then people should pay to see it, the same way people pay to see Will Smith in movies.

Because not everyone is willing to sacrifice high quality and high resolution for the crap you get on most of these free sites.

Because not everyone is willing to settle for bits and pieces of videos.

Because some of us think that the people who perform in and produce the stuff we are watching should be compensated for their efforts.

Aces&Jacks and others,

I have never signed up any sites but it is very dangerous to go into those free file-sharing sites. They have so many viruses and trojan horses and set you up. Is it worth to crash all your data in your computer for something not even worth few minutes of watching.

There are people out there thinking there are so many free sites, but some are links that are promotional ad., for you to sign up a paid site, others bring you to a road-side bomb of viruses and trojan horses to set your computer to the road of death !

The one I always go to is legit, I won't mention it due to the respect I have for
FreeOnes
No pop up ads and no virus (hopefully)
How can you tell if you have a virus in your computer?
If it run slower than usual?

If you protect your computer properly you won't have to worry about those things. Not only do I know how to use the proper tools to prevent and remove viruses and trojans, but I can also remove them manually with assistance of tech groups that I frequent. I haven't had to remove anything manually on any of my pc's for awhile because I'm properly protected. But I've removed a lot from other peoples computers.

Because for starters I was curious. Wanted to now it is like to be a member (which is awesome) and what you really get. Plus these people do this to make a scratch in life and need support. I know it is the obvious thing, but I am trying to mix it up between buying and free stuff. It is the same reason I buy all my music and movies. Need to support the artists.

Secondly every scene or vid I like i need to pay for. I was sic of seeing wicked scenes, that I really liked as either a snippet or streamed in poor quality with pixelated screen or dodgy sound. You pay for quality and I think that is what we forget nowadays. Quality comes with a price. These performers deserve our respect.

Let's not beat around the bush ...

Exactly. These girls aren't bangin for free.
It's pure demand, and people should pay for what they want, as with anything else.

I do not steal software, music, movies, etc... There's no reason that justifies it.

Yes, the MPAA and RIAA are total douches that want "control' over their industry, and are not so much doing things for copyright protection, but it doesn't remove the fact that their works are copyrighted. I can avoid their copyright if I don't like that.

Even though I use Linux, I don't steal Microsoft or other software, I will pay for it if I need to have it. Yes, Microsoft has lost many lawsuits where it stole source code it did not license proper, but it doesn't mean that software should be stolen in return. Even Bill Gates' original, 1975 letter "Most of you steal your software" that Microsoft upholds as the "first anti-piracy letter" was written after people "stole back" the changes Bill Gates made to their software without him even bothering to license it. Bill Gates also excused his own, illegal MP3/movie downloads as "oh, well I didn't rip them so I'm not liable" as if that excuses the behavior. If anything, it shows how poor and disrespectful people can be in their own decision, but I don't do it in return to them.

So in the case of porn, I see people excuse it as, "oh, well it's not like she has a honest job" or "oh, I don't use this very long, so I won't pay for it." That is pathetic and just hurts honest people. And yet some people are even worse, "I don't want to support an industry that is wrong." WTF? Have we grown up with that little respect for the property and works of others?

The world is what we make it. We choose to pay for things I use and enjoy. If I don't agree, then I won't use it. Not paying for something you use is just absolutely in conflict with the Golden Rule, I don't care what it is, whatever values you may assign it or whatever excuses you can come up with.

And there you have it. If everybody would think like the OP we would hardly see any quality porn out here.

i dont think the pornstars care about you...

Ofcourse they do, without their fans they would be nothing. Just like any popstar out there they need their fans to support them to survive :2 cents:

I once received this letter from a good friend who is a Playmate with her own website;

It’s very costly on my side as well to keep the site going with all the server fees, merchant fees, security script fees every month etc etc and when people start posting stuff for free, I’ll be forced to shut down the site soon.

Im not even going to touch on the obvious side of my point, but I will discuss a bit more ethical point. There are so many hot girls all over the web.. for free! So why pay for it? Google images, Freeones.com, and other places if you get me. Save your money and stop paying for porn!

Everyone has there glitches and hobbies. Some people prefer to go outside the lines in what most people would call normal, but it's their decision. When you tell people to boycott or jump on the bandwagon it just makes the situation worst most of the time. Most of the people who just jump on a bandwagon or boycott something are tools. Unless they really believe in it which is fine, but people need to think for themselves and not what other people tell them to think.

This isn't your place to worry about someones life. It's what they want to do and let it be that way.

This isn't my place to tell you what to do either. You can think outside the lines, but be careful it can backfire.

I don't think you have a problem unless it is affecting your outside life. ie:Work, marriage, kids you get my point. If your spending all your money on porn and your kids don't have dinner because of it then yeah you have a problem, but dropping a few bucks here and there on something you enjoy? I mean that's like saying that if you rent movies every week your addicted to them because you could just watch TV instead, since that's free.
