Why Biden would be the worst candidate Democrats could pick

You think Biden can't be demonised ? Oh boy...
The Right is gonna hit him again and again about how he interracts with women. "Creepy Joe" is already a thing among Trump voters

Well yeah of course they're going to TRY to attack him on that, but all it will do is highlight what an ACTUAL scum bag Trump is.
Biden compliments a young girl on her intelligence and beauty. Is a physically affectionate person. BFD.
Compare that to Trump being on tape describing his various adulterous MOs, being known to have cheated on his wife with Daniels and McDougall then paying them hush money over that, stating that if she wasn't his daughter he might well have dated Ivanka, and openly crowing about how his celebrity status has allowed him to grab pussy.
Do you really think Trump wants to go down that road at all? I sure as fuck don't. He'd end up totally buried.

Bernie's day as a candidate has come and gone, imo. Elements of his progressive philosophy will of course be part of the platform, but I give him zero chance of being the nominee.

The difference: Democrats will care. Republicans will not.

I hope he has the sense of humor to mention his "Time is up" when he drops out of the race.

“I was prepared for them to come after me, but I wasn’t prepared for the person coming at me the way she came at me.”

What an idiot. Of course they came after him : he was the front-runner, the candidate with the most name recognition, the best way ffor the other candidates to shine and to get their name in the news was to attack him. And he had made a terrible gaffe just days before the debate so it was in their interest to dissociate themselves from him, to attack him on that. And off course the most violent attacks would come from Kamala Harris...
This guy is so out of touch with the reality of 2019, so stuck in the 90'. Trump would just eviscerate him

I don't see Joe Biden as a racist or many others who've had the race card flung at them. But, when you pull cheap, shameless, carny, race-baiting crap like this I guess you deserve to get a taste of your own medicine.

Can Biden win the presidency? Yeah he can. But what these voters don't understand is that there's a difference between winning and actually having power. Biden can win the presidency but he'll find that he has absolutely no power. That's because there's no movement behind Biden like there is with Sanders. Bernie has a committed base that is energized and that he'll be able to tap into anytime. That's why I shake my head when I see these polls saying that Democratic voters prefer a candidate that can beat Trump rather than one who agrees with them on any policy issue. This was my issue with HRC. She would've won the presidency but with both chambers controlled by the GOP, name a single policy she could've gotten passed? Furthermore as the Democrats would've controlled the presidency that more than likely would've led to the GOP picking up even more seats in the House and Senate. Sure Democrats would feel all giddy about a women being president but what good would it have been if she was effectively powerless?

I fear this will be the case if Biden is elected. The Democrats in 2016 nominated a centrist and incrementalist who was a political lifer and that candidate lost. So what's the Democrats plan for 2020? To nominate another centrist and incrementalist who is also a political lifer. The Democrats are just stuck in an endless feedback loop. SMH

Jill Biden: Your Candidate Might Be Better Than Joe, But Look At Who's Going To Win

Thursday at a New Hampshire campaign event broadcast on MSNBC, Jill Biden, the wife of former Vice President Joe Biden, urged Democratic primary voters to think first about electability and vote for her husband.

---------------
JILL BIDEN: I know that not all of you are committed to my husband, and I respect that, but I want you to think about your candidate, his or her electability, and who’s going to win this race.

You gotta look at the polls. I know a lot of the time I say polls don't mean anything, but if they're consistently saying the same thing, I don't think you can dismiss that. I mean, you all deal with facts. So if your goal is -- I know my goal is to beat Donald Trump. We have to have someone who can beat him. So if you look at the polls, if you look at Joe with his record with independents, we can't just have Democrats who are going to win, we have to include everybody. Our party has to be more inclusive. Which means we have to go to independents and say, 'Join us.'

We have to go to Republicans and say, 'Okay, you're a Republican, but you can't tell me that your children are proud of the president and the things he says. As a mother or a father, how can you be proud of that president as a leader? And I think if you look at where Joe is in the polls in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania where we're both from, he's leading all the other candidates.

So yes, you know, your candidate might be better on, I don’t know, health care, than Joe is, but you’ve got to look at who’s going to win this election, and maybe you have to swallow a little bit and say, 'OK, I personally like so-and-so better,' but your bottom line has to be that we have to beat Trump.

In other words, she want democrats to settle for less. Because electability.

1) That electability thing is BS. Recent polls have Trump losing to all leading democratic candidates (Biden, Sanders, Warren & Harris) : https://www.thedailybeast.com/fox-news-poll-shows-trump-under-40-vs-biden-sanders-warren-and-harris
2) Electability brought us Hillary 2016 and look at where we are now.
3) Polls, so far from the election, mean nothing. In 2003, Joe Liebermann was leading the democratic primary polls. He withdrew on February 3rd, 2004, right after the Mini-Tuesday

I'm in complete agreement with her.
Particularly this point...

So if you look at the polls, if you look at Joe with his record with independents, we can't just have Democrats who are going to win, we have to include everybody. Our party has to be more inclusive. Which means we have to go to independents and say, 'Join us.'

2) Electability brought us Hillary 2016 and look at where we are now.

Gotta disagree. What brought us Hillary was the DNC mindlessly looking to make up to her for her loss to Obama in 2008. From the get go of her campaign her actual popularity ratings among dems were consistently quite low.

Hiliary 2020
Biden always seemed to me like one of those guys who just bullshit their way through life.
Like the person at work who does nothing but is really good at faking it when they need to.

The simple fact that the White is already trying to collect dirt on Biden should convince people not to pick him for Democratic nominee : The Trump campaign is already getting ready to fight Biden : not having him as the candidate would pull the rug from under Trump. Again, don't make the mlistake than last time, don't go with the one candidate Republicans have been preparing for...

Joe Biden is burning through cash and spent almost $1 MILLION on private jets to get to campaign stops as his fundraising effort runs out of steam

Joe Biden had $9 million in his campaign bank account at the end of September
And is burning through his campaign funds faster than he's bringing in the cash
Biden also spent $923,000 on private jets for his campaign
He spent much money to try and raise more money
And he spent five figures at hotels in big cities that are meccas for Dem donors
He expressed confidence he'd have the funds to make it through a long primary
'Our fundraising is building,' Biden said. 'We've raised a lot of money online and we've raised money offline as well. So we feel confident we're going to be ready'

Joe Biden had $9 million in his campaign bank account at the end of September, significantly less than his top rivals in the race for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination and burned through his money at a higher rate than he was bringing it in, data released on Tuesday showed.

While Biden leads most national public opinion polls, he has struggled to raise money and is relying heavily on wealthy donors who can write five-figure checks instead of smaller donations made via the internet.

Some of his spending was on big-ticket items, such as the $923,000 his campaign paid on private jets during the third quarter of 2019, the Daily Beast reported.
Travel on private planes can become a necessary expense as the primary dates get closer and candidates cram multiple stops in one day, often unable to coordinate their packed schedule with commercial flights.
But Biden's schedule has focused heavily on fund-raising, as reflected in his expense.

The former vice president spent more than $230,000 on 'fundraising consultants' during July, August and September and nearly $500,000 on direct mail - all in an effort to rake in more cash.
The campaign also dropped five figures on hotel bills in cities that are meccas for Democratic fundraisers but low on early-voting contests: more than $20,000 at the Carlyle Hotel in New York City; more than $14,000 at the Coronado Island Marriott in San Diego; more than $4,400 at the Hotel Jerome Auberge in Aspen; more than $10,5000 at the W Hotel in Los Angeles, and more than $3,000 at the Sun Valley Resort in Sun Valley, Idaho, the Daily Beast reported.

Biden dismissed a question on whether his low cash balance was going to be a problem going forward, saying that his campaign launched after several others, forcing him to catch up to his rivals.
'Our fundraising is building,' Biden told reporters in Ohio on Wednesday. 'We've raised a lot of money online and we've raised money offline as well. So we feel confident we're going to be ready.'
The former vice president said he was 'confident' his campaign would have the resources to make through an extended Democratic presidential primary.

The first vote isn't until February when Iowa voters hold their caucuses.

Biden raised $15.7 million in the third quarter, according to disclosures filed to the Federal Election Commission. That placed him fourth in fundraising for the period among the 19 candidates seeking to become the Democratic nominee to challenge President Donald Trump in the November 2020 election.
Biden also spent more than he raised over the July to September quarter, resulting in a burn rate of 112 per cent. Candidates with high burn rates - the pace at which they are spending their campaign funds - can be forced to make tough choices if they run out of cash.

Senator Elizabeth Warren, who has emerged in opinion polls as Biden's chief rival for the nomination, has excelled at raising money online and finished September with $25.7 million in cash. Warren's burn rate for the quarter was 76 per cent - the lowest of the five leading Democratic candidates.
She also has tapped small-dollar donors - a group she can return to repeatedly for funds - while Biden has hit high-dollars donors who tend to max out quickly.

Biden pointed out that Warren - and other senators running - were able to transfer money from their old campaign accounts to get a head start.
'We did not start off by dropping $10 million from a Senate campaign, wherever that money was raised from, into a race,' he said.

Spending decisions for a presidential campaign can be critical before voting begins in state nominating contests.
Candidates who spend too much can find themselves without enough cash to pay staff or purchase advertisements as voters head to the polls. However, a candidate who does not spend enough can miss the opportunity to build name recognition and bolster support.
Trump, who launched his reelection campaign the day he took office and has been able to raise money since then, had the lowest burn rate at 35 per cent and finished the quarter with $83 million in cash.

Of the Democratic candidates polling in the top five, only Senator Kamala Harris spent at a higher rate than Biden during the third quarter, but she managed to finish with more cash. She finished the third quarter with $10.5 million despite spending at a 123 per cent rate during the three months.

Senator Bernie Sanders raised the most money of any Democratic candidate during the third quarter, hauling in $28 million in largely online donations, allowing him to finish September with the most cash.

Democrat Tom Steyer, a billionaire who put $47.6 million of his own money into his campaign in the third quarter, raised a further $2 million from donors. Steyer spent $47 million in the quarter, more than double the amount of cash spent by any other Democratic or Republican candidate, including Trump.
Steyer's use of his personal funds to fuel his campaign drew criticism from rival Steve Bullock, the governor of Montana who was unable to qualify for Tuesday night's debate and has struggled to gain traction in the polls.
'The way to get rid of Big Money in politics is not more Big Money in politics,' Bullock wrote on Twitter in response to details about Steyer's spending.

Candidates focused their spending on salary, investing in staff in early primary and caucus states who are key in trying to organize supporters to win votes in heavily contested areas, the data showed.

Before this quarter, Warren had outpaced her rivals on payroll spending. She spent $5.3 million on salary in the third quarter, more than twice what she spent in the first two quarters combined. For the year, Warren spent $9.1 million on salary plus $4 million in payroll taxes.
Sanders caught up to Warren on staff spending in the third quarter. His third-quarter payroll was $5.7 million, bringing his total payroll for the year to $8.7 million.
Biden spent $4.5 million on salaries and another $1.3 million for advertising in the third quarter.

Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, was the only Democratic candidate who did not list salary as his largest single spending category in the quarter. He spent $4.4 million in online advertising and $3.6 million on salary, a shift from the previous quarter, when he spent little on advertising.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...te-Biden-campaign-cash-Democratic-rivals.html

He's not gonna make it. His campaign is losing momentum, He's spending a lot, raising too little and he's losing momentum, which is not gonna help him to find new donors.
He may even be out before the first vote
