Rich Little is probably the best impressionist ever.

I've been watching a lot of the old classic comedians lately.

Active comedians it has to be Chappelle.

I'm with ya! With his latest "Sticks & Stones" comedy special for Netflix, Chappelle goes to the top of my list. Comedy used to be about being edgy and funny, not worrying about who you might offend, as long as you spread the love to all. George Carlin was good at that. Richard Pryor was good at that. Eddie Murphy (in his stand-up prime) was good at that. Kevin Hart used to be good at that, but he's backed way off because it's so easy to hurt the feelings of the safe space babies in the various SJW movements nowdays. The gay mafia went after him pretty hard recenty and he's had to give a pound of flesh and a thousand apologies to make them settle down. And that's what Dave Chappelle is facing right now. I don't have Netflix, but from the previews I've seen, Chappelle lights up everyone equally. Is he offensive? Yeah! He always has been. Not much bothers me, but even I've cringed at some of his jokes since the first time I saw him. But the show seems to be dayuuuuum funny. The bad reviews are likely just a result of the feminazis, gay mafia and the safe space SJWs being triggered. Ya know, melting snowflakes ain't all that hard.

Yeah, ol' Dave has wound up the SJWs tight. Their friends and "bedfellows" in the media are now calling for a boycott of this show and anything Chappelle related, as well as Netflix. But much like Pryor and Carlin would do (if they were still alive), Chappelle is just telling these whiny, thin-skinned pussies to go fuck themselves. If you don't like it, don't watch.

The joke put the audience ready for another crack at things Republicans might hold dear. For his second impression, Chappelle started by not telling them who he was doing an impression of.

“Hey! Durr! If you do anything wrong in your life – duh – and I find out about it, I’m gonna try to take everything away from you, and I don’t care what I find out. IT could be today, tomorrow, 15 – 20 years from now, if I find out, you’re f***ing finished!” said Chappelle.

Chappell asked who that sounds like, and before he could even get the question out, people were already yelling that it was Trump.

“That’s you!” said Chappelle, pointing at the audience.

“That’s what the audience sounds like to me!” he continued. “That’s why I don’t be coming out and doing comedy all the time because y’all n*****s is the worst motherf***ers I’ve ever tried to entertain in my f***ing life.”

Outrage culture had made it hard for comedians to be comedians. Even jokes that would be considered innocent put the comedian at risk of offending the wrong person and initiating an outrage mob to come after them.

I love celebrity roasts. Don Rickles was mentione before, so I don't have to post his stuff, I guess. I really like Jeff Ross, of course

I have to say, I couldn't really laugh about Robin Williams, after noticing how depressingly sad he really is.

I plan on watching Dave Chappelle "Sticks & Stones" on Netflix because it seems funny and also because of the people who are against it. It's the same to me as when I was in Catholic School and the nuns forbid us from seeing something. I just had to watch it then. I am glad to see the triumphant return of Dave Chappelle as I own DVDs of the Chappelle Show complete run, 2 of his stand-up comedy specials, and also Half-Baked.

Comedians are supposed to be rebellious and it's nice to see them put a stick in the eye to Political Correctness.

Here is an old bit...

The best comedian's were Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy imho.

Yes, they were good.

If we go for golden oldies and not restrict it to stand-up, I have to go with Lucille Ball. Some of the scenes she did on I Love Lucy put me on the floor, crying with laughter.

Rodney Dangerfield was a member of a gym I worked at in the 1990s. I was the manager in charge at the time when we get a phone call from upstairs. "Rodney locked himself out of his locker and needs help!" It was pretty early in the morning and I innocently went up the stairs to do my duty. When I got up there I see Rodney with his back to the locker facing me 150% totally naked. What I saw wasn't one of his best bits.

The late, great Dave Allen and Hugh Dennis spring to mind immediately.
