Whipped is just a different flavor of flavored vodka, it's Pinnacle. They have a bunch of flavors, like cherry, Strawberry kiwi, cake, Strawberry shortcake, orange whipped, chocolate whipped, etc. There's a ton. Check it out:

Hmm... I may have to look into that. I've never given much consideration to flavored vodka since, as said, I tend to mix drinks and plain generally works best for that.

Well I wouldn't necessarily suggest drinking it by itself. I've only ever had it straight maybe 2-3 times. Pinnacle, anyway. I prefer mixing it, and nowadays since I'm not aiming to get drunk and just feel like having a drink once in a while and relaxing, I mix it. Usually with coke, but occasionally I'll mix it all up in the blender with some ice, mixer, and fruit.

Can't even recall the last time I had a soda that didn't have booze in it, and even then I'd generally prefer something else in the mix. I'll still do rum and coke on occasion or rye and ginger or what have you, but I'd usually prefer a screwdriver, a margarita, a tequila sunrise... something with some fruit juice in it.

I am sandwiched in between a couple with two noisy diesel trucks that work odd hours, and another house full of domestic abuse and ambulance visits. I'm very quiet. Polite. Don't intrude, but when a neighbor needs a hand with something I'm pretty much always willing to pitch in. That said, I don't go out of my way to meet my neighbors, perhaps it's because I've lived near a lot of assholes and that's kind of killed the urge to go out of my way to get to know the people surrounding me.

Saw a neighbors bush was on fire, from their house-sitters cigarette. So I put it out. I told them about it when they got home. It turns out one of them works for a winery and they keep bringing me liquid happiness. <3 I'll be on the lookout for flaming bushes from here on out!

I need more neighbors with booze supplies. Quiet ones or noisy ones. I will take either.

The only places that had it were Wine and Spirits stores, beer distributors, some bar/restaurants that let you take out 6-packs, and a few select grocery stores (only one grocery store where I was from, and we had like... 6-8 grocery stores in town). It's not available in most stores and it isn't at gas stations like other states. My mind was blown the first time I ever went to a gas station in another state that had beer for sale. Was crazy to me. Then there's the rules for how many cases and 6-packs you're allowed to take out at once.

Except that I don't think you get beer in any grocery stores at all (though you can get wine in some), and I don't think there's any limit anywhere on how much you're allowed to buy. I'm pretty sure trying to put a law like that into play would be the quickest and most effective way to start a revolution in Canada. We take our booze, smokes and coffee very seriously here.

Of course I kinda like it being set up this way. When it comes to relying on grocery stores and unregulated, privately-run liquor stores you aren't likely to find much of a selection. Here there is always a wide selection of beer and booze from all over the world available no matter where you are. There's pretty much always something new to try if you're feeling like a change. Sure, a lot of it is shit but there's so much variety to try... where, yes, most of it is shit. :dunno:

Look at it from my end. I'm originally from NY. My wife and I go to visit friends in NJ and want to pick up a 6 pack. Nothing in the gas stations, nothing in the supermarkets. Where do we go? A package store. WHAT THE FUCK IS A PACKAGE STORE? It's a liquor store on the left and a bunch of stools at a bar on the right. Another culture shock was that in NY, beer is not sold in the same stores as wine and liquor.

Really? At the grocery store right on the corner of my street they have both wine and beer. No liquor though, at least not that I've noticed. I've only bought wine and beer from there. Beer is all kept in the refrigerated section and there's some wine (not very much, but some) at the ends of some of the aisles and then by the deli section next to some drink mixers.

That strikes me as weird, and not particularly effective.

Here it's pretty common to see someone walk away from the store with a dolly full of beer to stuff in their cars. And no, the stores don't provide you with a dolly, so apparently these people bring their own. See, now that is dedication...

It was a college town that's been ranked in the top party schools in America, so it was a pretty normal sight to see.

It was a college town that's been ranked in the top party schools in America, so it was a pretty normal sight to see.

I've spent most of my life in suburbs and small towns, and it seems like most people seem to think the only thing there is to do to keep yourself entertained in places like that is drink yourself into a stupor (or get really high all the time... or both).

It's always been fun on recycling day to see how many blue bins are just a mountain of empties. There were a few times when I was younger that some of us would get together with a van and drive up and down the streets gathering up all the dead soldiers to return them for their deposits. You could actually make a surprising amount of money doing that...especially after one of the more drunken holidays, like May-Two-Four.

What the heck is May-Two-Four?

May 24th... the drunkest of Canadian holidays, so named for the two-four, otherwise known as a case of 24 beers. Also known as "Victoria Day" after Queen Victoria. Basically it's an excuse to take the day off, get really drunk, and shoot off lots of fireworks.
