To Freakybastard, about the Spurs doubling their ring total by 2010.

There is one problem with that statement, one HUGE problem.

His name is Lebron James, and he has the most raw talent the NBA has ever seen.

Lebron James has many many many seasons to go. He will get a ring, but look how long it took Kobe to get his first, in what his 4th or 5th year. He also did it with Shaq on his side. I'm not denying Lebron will never get a ring, oh he is due to become the next Jordan. I'd give him at least 2 or 3 more seasons before he even makes it to the Finals, muchless win one.

But lets be honest all big name stars need a so-called sidekick to finally win the big one.

Jordan had Pippen
Shaq had Kobe (and vice versa)
David Robinson needed Tim Duncan
Tim Duncan now needs Parker & Ginobili
Kareem had Magic

One big star can't win championships alone.

The Suns Of Course !!!!!!

ROFL!:rofl2:

The Suns will be lucky to get out of the first round at this rate!

The Lakers are playing some of the best team ball right now, which means Kobe doesn't have to be "Mr.Everything" on the offensive end. This is when the Lakers are really dangerous, when the whole team is beating you.

Phoenix has a great run-'n-gun offense for the regular season, but play 'em in a best-of-seven and they're pretty simple to figure out.

They have no shotblockers or offensive rebounders, so even Kwame Brown looks like Wilt Jr.

you forgot ginobili, barry, van exel, horry, finley.

3 time champs and reigning champs.
plus nash so did not deserve the MVP!

the suns had a better chance last year, and are about to be beat by the very mediocre Lakers.

Like I said if you wanna go all the way you gotta take a nice vacation in Texas be it San Antonio or Dallas.

The MVP deservedness list:

LeBron James
Kobe Bryant

If you're name is not on that list, you do NOT deserve the MVP this season.

Whether it would've been co-MVPs, or one of them winning, that would've been fine with me. Although I'm a LeBron fan, I respect that Kobe is currently slightly better(it comes down to D).

Suns and especially Marion have shown their true colours. Jumpshots and no D.:ban:

Lebron Yes, very derserving.... Kobe not in my book

I always leaned towards Marion, but Wallace is deserving every year.

As for Steve Nash as MVP...:ban:

I threw up in my mouth a little bit when he was handed the award.

Why? Check the list of multiple winners, let alone back-to-back.

Kobe definiteley deserved MVP.

The man essentially carried them into the playoffs. Nobody on his team outside of Lamar Odom is worth anything, and none of them learned how to shoot.

Without Kobe this year, Lakers don't even win 20 games.:2 cents:

The NBA needs to recognize James' greatness. This snub will go down in history when he retires with 9 or 10 MVP's on his mantle.

He has plenty of time and is just on the edge of greatness :glugglug: He will sure win one down the road!

Personally I think Billups deserved more points, his stat's are as good as any PG...

LeBron > Nash

Last night he single handedly won that game for the Cavs in what was basically an elimination game against the best team in the league. He did last night what Kobe should've done in game 7 against the Suns: Take over in every aspect of the game.

A good article on LeBron. A little harsh to Kobe, though.

LeBron on a bad night > Nash at his best

Let's not forget, the Cavs were playing without their starting SG and #3 offensive weapon, as well as their main perimeter defender, along with Snow.

I can honestly say that LeBron's court vision is on par with Nash's. You can't say Nash is a better passer, he just has more weapons and a system that encourages jumpshooting.

LeBron spends the first half of most games passing the ball off to Z while he's not in foul trouble. James could definitely average 10 asts per game.

Could Nash give you 30+ PPG?

To the MVP voters: :thefinger

I still believe Kobe was the regular season MVP, but he severely disappointed me in Game 6 and 7 against the Suns. Especially in Game 7 when he pretty much deferred to the Bryant-ettes. He does that sometimes. I just didn't figure he'd do that in the playoffs. :dunno:

LeBron gets the edge here because he didn't panic down the stretch and patiently let the game come to him. All this while being down against the best team, in what was basically an elimination game. Yeah homecourt helped him, but it was still a very impressive performance. He made his teammates better in that game, while taking over when he had to. Thats where great players are usually defined the most...when they make their teammates better. :2 cents:
