Indeed. I figure we all should know that by now, and if not, well, get the hell out of this thread.

What the fuck kind of question is this? Even in 2008 this wasn't a legit question. Kobe was a better basketball player than Snaq in high school.
Kobe is on pace to break the most points in an NBA career record. He'll most certainly be top 3 when he retires.
He also has...
5 NBA championships.
2 NBA Finals MVP
1 Regular Season MVP (Should be at least 2. How can you average 35 points and not get MVP??)
12 time All Star
10 time defensive all NBA. (ya he's one of the best perimeter and 1-1 defenders of all time)
12 time all NBA.
2 time Scoring Champion. (ya he's one of the greatest offensive threats of all time)
I know this thread is 2 years old, but to compare one of the top 5 greatest players in the history of the game to Snaq?? is fucking laughable.
Snaq did NOT lead 3 teams to the NBA finals. He led 2, and piggy backed Wade and the refs to a 3rd. He was the main guy in L.A, but he wouldn't have won without Kobe. He wouldn't have even made it to 3 straight Finals without Kobe.
Even if you go position wise, Kobe is only eclipsed by MJ. Snaq isn't even the greatest center of all time. Not even top 3.
And for the record, Kobe did not run Snaq out of town. Snaq became a fat fuck and Buss wasn't going to give some out of shape piece of shit, a max, long term contract extension. It worked out didn't it? L.A is racking up championships while that fat fuck wanders from team to team trying to stay relevant. Fuck Snaq.
Go Lakers!
This is a common misconception. Snaq does not care about winning. If he did, he'd stay in shape. He cares about entertaining. That's why he does more dancing and rapping than actual balling anymore.
Kobe cares about greatness. He's the fiercest competitor since MJ. How can you say he doesn't care about winning? He demanded to play in L.A before he ever stepped foot on a basketball court. Why? Because he wanted to win. He trains every off season, stepping up his game to new levels while everybody else is satisfied with their game. Why? Because he wants to win. He forced front office to make moves or he was leaving town. Why? Because he wants to win.
People just hate Kobe for whatever reason. It's all good though. Ya'll can take Snaq "every single time". You'll get bounced in the 2nd round (if you're lucky enough to make the playoffs). Kobe's winning titles now and cementing his legacy as an all time great while Snaq is trying to MC in some shitty club.
Shaq has proven all he needs to prove. At this point, he is pretty old, so you can't really blame him for being slower than he used to be. He's a big man too, so age probably takes it's toll even sooner.
I will give you that Kobe wants to win, but you can tell that his only reason for that is to prove how great he thinks he is. Is he a good player? Absolutely. Is he as good as Jordan? No way.
As for who is better between Shaq or Kobe, it's hard to compare them because they play different positions. One thing I do know is that if I were the GM of an NBA team and had the choice of drafting either one of them, I would definitely take Shaq. He gives me the better chance to win in my opinion.
I'll take Shaq every single time. Shaq cared about winning. Kobe only cares about Kobe.
Wait, what? You mean Shaq, the one who's more concerned with his own fame, likeability, and legacy, cares more than Kobe, who is only the fiercest competitor there is?
Oh, and btw, screw Shaq, his leaving the Magic cost us at least 1 title.
^ Shaq got himself traded.
Anyway:
Kobe > Shaq
Shaq was classy enough to say things that saved his team from a big, distracting scandal, but everyone knows Kobe was the problem child and the reason for Shaq leaving.
If the Wolves would've got Shaq in '93 that whole franchise would be a different story.

If if was a 5th, we'd all be drink.
