Which game gave you the greatest feeling of achievement after beating it?

The Second-Hottest Man in my Mother's Basement
Anyhoo, I felt achievement when I unlocked the video in Dead or Alive Ultimate. That meant I had to go through a lot. Timed, easy to hardcore levels, and given that game... that is no easy feat for some characters. Oh, and Splinter Cell 1 was a hard game.

Oh god, I forgot about DOAU. It took me months to unlock everything. For half of the characters I had to retry the final boss maybe 20 times.

The bitch about the video in DOAU is that it wasn't even the whole damn episode! It was a 5 or so minute clip! I thought, what the hell!!!???

Give Mother Theresa A Hand!!--It came out for XSystem 180 back in the day. It was a kind-of action/RPG title where you play the revered Mother as she tries to feed the poor while placating corrupt Communist and fascist governments. It was tough. If you made one bad move, Kofi Annan would appear and steal your Nobel prize. If you were too slow at a decision, the Pakistani strongmen would kill your nuns and eat you supplies. You had to stay with it. Eventually, you'd beat the game, and the ending would have the Mother ascending to heaven on a cloud of coal-powered electric plant smoke. It took me six days to beat. Then I rested.

While I could never beat Tyson,I shit on your claim that it can't be done, due to the fact that I physically watched a friend do it years ago.I was totally dumbfounded and pretty much called him a liar to his face when he first said that he could do it.He shut me the fuck up real quick when I sat there with him and actually watched it happen.

Hahahaha,so because you 'watched' him do it I am suppose to believe you?
I think not,I have to see that shit for myself.
Not on an emulator, but the real shit. A NES system.

beating Tyson was just like beating everyone else in the game, learn their moves and counter at the right time.
i think tyson you had to dodge him for 7/8 of the whole 1st round and you get like 2 spots to hit him,if you get the full stars for you "GIANT UPPERCUT"
you could beat him in rd.1
but if not you need to dodge his jabs half of rd.2 before being able to get some punches in.
i watched my friend do it several times he even did play-by-play to me while playing the game to show me what to look for and how to beat the game.
so sorry mastagambit its possible.super lucky? you do it in the 1st rd
lucky you can beat him in the 2nd, i think he starts getting tired in the 3rd because you know Tyson had "no stamina" after 2 rounds.
and you just do what your trainer says "stick & move" and yo beat Mike in the 3rd round.

Beating Tyson is NOT like beating everyone else.
The last 3 guys you CANNOT beat in the first round.
You cant beat Mr.Sandman in the first round,
Super Macho Man,
and finally Tyson.
When you fight Tyson you have to wait on him to punch, then you dodge and counter him with two quick jabs.
That's the trick to fighting him,you have to wait on him,and that causes the clock to work against you. In the first round you only can knock him down like once with your jabs because you cant get stars off Tyson.
By the time you reach the third round Mario will ALWAYS reward the match to him,you cant beat him by decision.

You may not believe me, and I definitely don't have any proof, but I did it.

A lot of responses for the Final Fantasy series. More games I'll have to play now that I own an Sony.

Proof of what? You bought a Sony console or you never played a Final Fantasy game?

I'm kind of lost with what you have no proof of in a self proclaimed unbelievable statement.

Call of Duty 4 was one of the most difficult games I've ever played, and I was unabashedly giddy after beating it on veteran, took me the better part of 6 months.

Welcome back, ShayD! Reading your post I guess we all see where you been at... :hatsoff:

I am playing COD 4 on the hardest level and stuck on the level right after the sniper level, where you are making your escape, and it's right at the end where enemy wave after enemy wave is coming before the helicopter arrives.

At the moment I am playing Gears of War 2 on Insane difficulty. I will be pleased when I beat this.

Why thank you my friend, good to hear from you :)

Just a tip for waiting for the helicopter: sneak into one of those ticket booths, they are an absolute lifesaver :D

Ah. I just might try that now.

Right now I am going to feel a great achievement when I beat Gears of War 2 on Insane difficulty. I just started it a couple of days ago and after the intro when riding on the vehicle protecting it from those launched bomb (seeders?) things. I can tell this is going to be a long play through.

Good luck with that. Both Gears on Insane were tough. Real tough. I just recently re purchased Gears 2, and I think I will give Insane a shot.

I am stuck on Gears of War 1 on Insane because I screwed up by getting rid of the bow earlier in the level now I only go into the General RAAM battle with six bows. I would of had him beat, too, had it not been for running out of bows one time!

As for Gears of War 2 on Insane. Damn, damn, damn! That puts the first Gears insane difficult to a Normal/Hardcore setting! It is hot damn crazy!!!

7th Saga. Yes, I have beaten this game, and am apparently one of only a handful. I beat it using the Demon, Lejes and the Dwarf, Olvan. It's a long, hard game, and I still say I deserve a BJ for doing it. My girlfriend of the time disagreed, though. :(
