y'all don't even know, by 2050 reptilian moon jews will have fulfilled their plan to awaken the great old ones from their ancient slumber to enslave the human race...duhh

China won't become a superpower for the same reason Japan didn't. They did have thousands of years of opportunities but frankly aren't superpower material because they're inward looking socities. Also Russia won't let them. Mother Russia rules the east! :D

actually there have been many times in history when the dynasties of china could be arguably considered the most powerful nations in their time...and i personally feel like they qualify as a superpower today, they're setting themselves up for the future and if they don't fuck up they will likely become the superpower if the world. russia is still recovering from the collapse of the soviet union which was powerful yes but wrecked their people and while they still control a vast amount of land, resources and "stuff" they are still in a touchy period in which they may thrive or collapse, still up in the air IMO. as far as we the US of A stand, we're still the most powerful but our power is spread too thin which may be good in the short term but history has proven time and time again that this cannot last. the only real hope of being able to last in such a position is that with communications and transport capabilities that we have today the world is effectively a MUCH smaller place...

Yes but thousands of years ago every culture was confined to itself and insulated from the outside world. so arguably they all could be considered major power within their own spheres. It's like being the toughest kid at home. But outside, you're just a nobody. Globalisation didn't exist back then. Anyway, perhaps America will be the last Superpower because the age of superpowers is probably over, just like the age of empires. There's simply too many nations and races and too little room to compete for the same position, and quite frankly I don't see how Russia will accept China, India, Korea as the only power of the east. And vice versa. I don't see how Indians will start learning Mandarin, or Chinese start learning Russian. Meanwhile they will all accept the defacto sole power of the United States, and their ruling language of English. A wise man once said, to rule the world you must bind them by your native tongue... which we're speaking in, in this forum despite all of us coming from different races and backgrounds. Oh and big cock :D

I'm like Zdenka on this. Russia, China, and the USA have more than enough bombs to keep the rest in check. The scramble now is for money power. The USA has the jump on this. We make great products that sell. China makes lots of stuff cheaply but doesn't match up our quality. There is no reason that they can't match it though. They make their money in volume. Russia can crank out and sell planes and bombs like Mc Donald's can sell burghers. Other than that, who owns a Russian built anything? Sure the USA owes a lot of money to China but are they going to suddenly make a power call? Not worth it for them. We could just as well say,"Fuck you. What are you going to do about it?" Satellites are tracking all of our movements by all 3 of us so nobody is stupid enough to push any buttons.

The problem is that these nations have nowhere to expand to, conquer or grow.. they're enemies surrounding each other. China is kept in check by Korea and Japan. Russia can't expand into China because it's full and they both have nukes. China can't expand into India, or Vietnam because it's full. And to the left of them, they're surrounded by the Middle east, and that's full. Maybe swim to Africa but that's already taken by Islam and Arabs :surprise:

USA on the other hand is surrounded by friendly Canananada, and Mexico. Plenty of room to grow. They should have no problem expanding into these countries by mid-century or so. Canada and USA become a single entity :D

Also, it's kind of funny to note that every single nation predicted to be the Superpower never eventuated. Eg, Germany was predicted to be sole superpower during WWII. Then it was Japan and USSR predicted to be Superpower in the 70, 80s. China was predicted to be the superpower in the late 90's and 2000's. Well, my next prediction will be the prediction of India, followed by Korea. I'll win a big dick if I get it right, and I usually do :D

Which country do you think?
There are pros and cons to each country becoming a Superpower. And they must defeat each other if they want to become a super power. There can only be 1 King.

India: Pro: Huge English speaking population
India: Cons: too much people.

Russia: Controls world's energy and gas, has most nukes
Cons: Government run by Mafia

Pakistan: United by religious momentum
cons: but lo technology

Iran: United by religion
cons: is land locked

Korea: has hi tech, and Samsung. Will be tough to beat when united with North Korea
cons: North Korea holding it back

China: Makes a lot of products
cons: has yet to defeat communism.

Brazil: Close to USA, good location
cons: need a strong sense of nationalism
Before 2050 China will be the world's most powerful country.
Their economy is catching the US at a phenomenal rate.
India will continue their rise, but more slowly.
As soon as China's population bubble bursts, which it will, then they will be royally screwed.

Here's another school of thought: In the future we'll all be ruled by American corporations such as Google Android, Apple, Microsoft. These entities in their own rights are more powerful than some small nations, and are growing exponentially by the day.

The thing about China is that the vast population has no idea what shit looks like outside of their farms in the mountains. They just found out that you can hook up wheels to a yak for transportation.

Brazil's got a nice thing going now. So I say they should become a superpower real soon.
I'm real tempted to say China, but their problem is they're followers, which makes them very predictable in their evolution and rise. The US knows what they're up to: mainly mass production of cheap plastic things and knock-offs, exportation and acquisition of other countries' natural resources. When their population will achieve a high standard of living, their economy will crumble, because they will start relying on imports. It's already crumbling in a way, because of the US and EU economic situation.

I don't think China will become a true superpower in its own right. It can be the largest economy and have a powerful military but it faces gigantic internal problems which are going to take decades to solve, if they can even be solved at all. Their population is aging, the inequality is massive, wages are still desperately low despite a raise in the cost of living for many, the environment is being destroyed at a rate even the US can't touch, etc. India, I believe, is far better positioned to be the next true superpower of the world because, while it has many of the same problems, it's population is extremely young and it has way more time to tackle these problems than the PRC does.

None of the above.

Qatar will be the next super power. So start trembling bitches!.
