Whats Your Favorite Horror/gore Movies

The Devils Rejects

I thought Rejects was the best thing since shaved pussy. Saw it last month at the CineVegas Film Fest and its "been with me" ever since. Its a work of art. Post your thoughts here after ya see it.

It's got everything that a horror fan would ever want in a film:nudity, nice splattery deaths, plenty of cool genre actors(Ken Foree,Michael Berryman,Mary Woronov, and P.J. Soles to name a few),plenty of amazing plot twists and surprises, and a really highly driven performance by William Forsthye as the film's real "villain"

Has anyone seen "The Descent" yet? I believe it's directed by Neil Marshall (who also made "Dog Soldiers"), and was just interested in your opinions.

CannibaL Holocaust, probably one of the gorest movie of all time.

Cannibalism, torture, long time agony, mutilation...

Banned in 50 countries...

lol, oh my johan... i might have to pick that one up... if its as scary as the description i might actually have trouble sleeping for a few days

Cannibal Holocaust is a great flick,as well as another favorite cannibal flick on mine called Cannibal Ferox.

Care to help out, then? We are petitioning to get Bill Moseley (Otis) nominated for an Oscar...

This might not mean *beep* but Ebert and Roeper gave it 2 thumbs up. With that kind of recognition, the Academy might just give it a shot. Even if he is just nominated, that would still be cool. Im signing this petition. Im going to ask for a flyer. (Gets on soapbox:) This goes far beyond just Bill Moseley, it tells Hollywood that people are tired of having PG-13 kiddie crap shoved in our faces all the time, and it also says that we want more action taken on the seriousness of these roles. There are legions of horror fans out there, and they are unflinchingly LOYAL. Take a look at the #1 selling DVD right now. It's Constantine! It may not be exactly horror, per say, but it is noneoftheless a rated R flick, and has its fair amount of blood. People of the general public CAN make a difference (Family Guy, anyone?) and will, if given the heart. Even if you give a crap about the Academy, but still liked this movie, sign the petition, send out the flyers...you might be suprised at what a little fan action can do. (Gets off soapbox.)

Sign here: www.petitiononline.com/otis78

Additionally, supporters are encouraged to handout flyers at their local theaters and at public events. If you're interested in helping, please e-mail oscar4bill@hotmail.com and you will be sent a flyer to use.

Thanks.

Both were banned in the UK back in the eighties as video nasties (that really sounds quaint in these days of DVDs), but I thought The New York Ripper was quite gory.....

These are not "horror" movies, just "fantastic" movies.

Re: best horror movie

I like so many horror movies, it's hard to pick the one I think is the best. I'm not going to post a list, as the thread title says "best".

I'd say....

the one I'm working on right now
