I'm guessing porn wasn't there first decision. It was probably mainstream acting, but it's so hard to get into that they tryed other types of acting. I don't know if porn is considered to be to much of the acting field, but some videos are alright.

I would think it has to do with the fact that mainstream actresses get a lot more money, can make more money off their fame alone, don't have any social stigma attached to their jobs, actually deal with better people on a daily basis (even as bad as mainstream acting is in that regard) and don't have to screw people they don't like and aren't attracted to for money so the whole world can watch.

Unfortunately once you in porn your stuck with that forever, or until the next global apocalypse that sends the world into a dark age. The internet makes it just that much harder to get away from it. So their chances of ever getting any real big time mainstream gig are about zero.

Because they think their image in porn is going to resonate with movie goers, which in turn will lead to $$$. Nothing more, nothing less, I doubt whether any of the pornstars mentioned above are really getting into so called "mainstream" movies for anything other than to create a larger profile for themselves and to get more money.

Perhaps they are trying to develop mainstream professions. After all, if many can convincingly fuck and suck with cameras and lights in their faces, why not try real acting?
Also, with porn's rising acceptance in society, the previous exposure will be an advantage in people knowing them. I know Traci Lords appeared in one Roseann series, and I couldn't help but wonder as I watched, Wow! How this girl can fuck!

So what's wrong with some of these women trying to better themselves and do movies that aren't porn movies? Jesus, some of you act like it's a personal affront to you that some porn actresses would dare to step out of the porn world to try acting.

And half the time, good acting is the work of the a. material, b. director, and c. editing
