I do not know which one came first, but I remember purchasing those within a month after listening to 'The Number Of The Beast', 'Fight Fire With Fire' and 'Spill The Blood' for the first time, and I think I got 'em in chronologically correct order.

It was either Led Zeppelin Physical Graffiti or Cheech and Chong Big Bambu. Tells you where my head was at the time.
Did you actually use the giant rolling papers included with the Big Bambu album to roll (or try to anyway) a giant joint?:1orglaugh
After all, the album itself was a giant replica package of rolling papers.... remember?

I think my first album was either Van Halen self titled (their debut album)
-or-
Lynyrd Skynyrd • "One more from/for the road"(Live recording)
I still have both em among many many more!

Def Leppard- Hysteria (on tape)
my first CDs were: Kiss Revenge, Megadeth- Killing Is My Business... and Business is Good!, and AC/DC- Live (all Christmas presents)

my older cousin hooked me up with a copy of Green Day's "Insomniac"... you know, back when they were a good band.

Wait a minute, first ever album as including all those kiddie albums that your mom would buy for you or first ever album as in you actually spent some of your allowance money or part of your own paycheck on it? :dunno:

Because if it's the first choice then it would be some Parchis album that I can't really remember, but if it's the second choice, it would be.....

Was my dilemma when considering this question as well. I'll go with the latter, AC/DC Back in Black was the first album I plopped down some allowance money on. I was 13 or 14 around '85 or '86. Soon was saving and buying a lot of cassettes and ended up joining BMG 8 for 1 or something like that.

I answered with the former, as that's really the question that's being asked.

Ah, in that case, I think either this was the very first album I ever had....

Or maybe this one when I was about 4....

Though I'm not sure if the last one was mine or someone would just play it for me to sing it. Of course, later on I moved on to 80's hard rock/heavy metal and some pop like INXS up there.

btw, the first album I remember buying with my own money was Queens Of The Stone Age's "Songs For The Deaf", which is still one of my all time favorites.
