If we're talking the NES, it's a toss up. My favorites were Legend of Zelda, Blades of Steel, Mike Tyson's Punch Out and Tecmo Super Bowl.

Tecmo super bowl!! That brings back some memories from college back in the early 90's, me and my buds all had a championship going, my team was Da Bears. Me and Refrigerator Perry were unstoppable!! 60+ sacks in one season! Plus all of Richard Dent's 60+ sacks!

Anyway, my favorite was Metal Gear, mostly because of funny stuff like this:
