OK....if forced to choose someone who has not already been mentioned, I would have to say John Glenn. He would have made an outstanding leader for America.

From what I've heard, RFK had a similar mix of conservative and liberal views as I do. We could have avoided Watergate and thus avoided Carter's presidency as well.

Yeah. It is a shame that we didn't get to see RFK in action. You know the little brother usually does things with a chip on his shoulder and acts a bit more cautiously because he will receive more scrutiny than the eldest son. Basically, this translates into the little brother being a little less likely to fuck up than the big brother *cough* Jeb Bush.

Oh I agree....Buchanan is great....as a pundit and spin doctor (and as a speechwriter for Nixon) that is. I also thought [/I]Where the Right Went Wrong[/I] was a great read and very insightful. However, I also like John Grisham's books but that doesn't mean I'd want him as president.

To each his own....we could do worse (and have).

Also, Edwards would have been awful. He's a total fraud. I'm glad he got ratted out before we were dumb enough to possibly elect him.
