What makes a man attractive?

Good hairstyle . Pluck the nose hairs and ear hair. Armani and Hugo Boss suits. Cole Haan and Bally shoes, good cologne (not too much). Good teeth. Invest in a nice watch. Rolex Tag or Movado.

Never fails.

Seriously?
A fistful of hundreds and no oozing sores...pretty much that's it.

(Wearing a Philippe Patek falls under the category of a fistful of hundreds.)

So, it seems that the looks (body or face for example) isn't really important at all for women?

They prefer things like money, living a stable live and things that you can buy with money (e.g. Armani or Rolex).
Too bad that do not have enough money left for those things at the moment :crying:

No, it's not ALL about the money. Looks do matter, as does personality. A great catch is a guy who keeps himself clean, is at least somewhat attractive, takes care of himself, exudes confidence, can talk to a woman with respect and consideration, and has goals. A bad catch is guy who doesn't bother wearing deodorant, likes to wear shirts with huge holes in them and refuses to get new ones for some sentimental reason, doesn't brush his teeth, is immature, gets drunk every single night, makes objectifying remarks toward and about women, and works at a pizza shop without caring to set plans to ever change that.

Good looks are important, but if you're an asshole, You Might get the girl at first but as soon as she realizes that all you are is an asshole, she'll leave you.
Money is important, but if you treat women like shit, you're screwed.
Personality is important, but if you're disgustingly smelly and dirty and have no goals in life, you'll be looked at as a deadbeat.

A dude with money buys your holes then you leave him. Duh.

We're not talking about romance here. The OP wants to know what makes you spread your legs and think of England.

First off, that's disgusting. Second, the OP didn't specify he wanted to just get women into bed. He asked about what attracts a woman to a man, and that doesn't imply anything beyond attracting women. In order to get into a long term relationship you often still have to attract a woman because that's generally how you get your foot through the door.

The OP never specified whether or not it was just about sex. In fact, I believe that he stated he'd like opinions on how to come across as attractive to women in general, meaning for whatever reason. Even if it were just about sex, everything I said still applies. Sure, a girl will be willing to look past certain flaws if all she's doing is looking to get laid, but there's still certain things we look for that cause us to think a man is attractive or not.

And just like Happy said, in order to even get your foot in the door, whether it's for sex or not, you need to come off as appealing to women. Go ahead, go try to get a woman to sleep with you while wearing a shirt with giant holes in it, smelling like you haven't showered or applied deodorant on for days, smack her ass as she walks by and say, "Hey, sexy mama! How bout you back that ass up over here? God damn, look at that ass.. Mmm...mmmm!" Then invite her to your home, ask her if she'll split the taxi with you, don't tip the driver, and once you get home, she finds moldy pizza crusts all over the floor, empty beer cans, and an infestation of fruit flies lingering over a plate of limes next to an empty tequila bottle. Let me know how that works out for you.

Alright, I've got to set this record straight. I'm aware that me going out of my way to make it a point to defend myself against someone on here isn't exactly helping the situation, but I feel like I have every right to do so, so if anyone looks down on me and thinks I'm wrong to post this, then well.... Frankly, I don't care. What you said to begin with was out of line, and me defending my situation does not justify what you said, so regardless of whether or not it's better to ignore something and simply report it, I'm perfectly within my rights to respond when someone offends me.

I'm not going to name any names, but you sir, and you know who you are, are dead wrong.
Yes, my boyfriend is 59. Yes, he has money. And yes, we work together.
But in no way is he the one who got me my job. I met him years ago on a different job that I got hired for by someone else, he just happened to be one of numerous photographers on set. I have been modeling since I was 18, so I was modeling long before he ever came into the picture. The idea of my website got pitched to me by someone else, not my boyfriend. He just happens to be the one who does the photography, and you're damn right we'd still be working together whether or not we were in a relationship. We worked together for nearly 2 years before we got involved.

I would not be without a job if we weren't together. I had a very steady job before he ever came around. When I lived in PA, I was a restaurant manager full time for 3 years, and I chose to leave that steady job for a lesser paying job in NY so that I could be happy, meaning money is not what makes me happy. I do just fine on my own. And I do make my own money, he doesn't just hand me money saying, "Here you go honey, go buy yourself some new shoes!" He is not the one who pays me. I get paid by membership sales, custom self shot videos, photo shoots with other photographers, and selling my used items. Never once has my boyfriend paid me to do a photo shoot. You think he pays me to shoot? You think anyone pays me to shoot for my website? Wrong. Everything I do for my website is out of my own pocket, on my own time, because I want to do it.

I didn't get into my position by fucking my way to the top. I got into my position with hard work.

And no, I wouldn't be homeless if I didn't live with him. I do know other people, and if I had to, I'd get a regular 9-5 job somewhere else, making steady income, living in my own apartment. I'm not completely helpless, I do have a brain. I was getting along just fine without him, and you bet your ass I'd do just fine now without him.

All of that is not to say that I'm not thankful for him sticking with me through thick and thin, helping me when I need it, and being there for me when I'm going through something tough in my life. Without him, I wouldn't have the luxury of not having to pay rent, being able to dedicate all my time to my work, my website, studying for my GED, taking care of health problems, and pursing my dream of screenwriting. I'd be working full time at a restaurant waiting tables, fighting for spare time to work on all these things, barely scraping by. But in no way, shape or form is that the reason I'm with him. Don't judge someone else's relationship without knowing the people first. Better yet, don't judge anyone's relationship at all, period. It's none of anyone's business to judge me. I'm with him because he's the smartest, most interesting man I've ever known, because we have a lot in common, because he's kind, generous, caring, considerate, respectful, because I love him, and because he makes me happy. The fact that he has money and would be able to completely provide for me if I needed it, tells me that he has a great character, that he has his act together, and that he's disciplined. In no way do I take it for granted. I work for my money, I earn what I make. Never once have I solely depended on someone else to take care of me, and I'm not about to start now.

My boyfriend was attractive to me because of everything I just mentioned, because of his overall character, not for one single thing. You can't depend on superficial, materialistic things for a relationship, so you can't expect that to work for you. It might work for some people, but it sure doesn't work for me. I'm not that shallow, and if anyone else thinks otherwise about me, I think that says more about your character than mine.

Harley, thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed reading your above comments. You sound like a very bright and intelligent young women, with grounded values for the areas which you spoke.
I applaud you and wish you the best of success pursuing your screenwriting dream, that's wonderful.

PLEASE never explain yourself to Eric the Grand Asshole again...it feeds his maniac ego and demeans you, lowering yourself to his defective level. You have most everyone's respect here, and don't EVER need to defend or explain yourself.
You may be a Democrat, but I look past that. Love ya, Ms H.

I don't know ANYONE who even fits one of those criteria...why would any fairly conscious, almost sober, IQ over 38 female go ANYWHERE with someone fitting just 2 of those wonderful descriptions?
C'mon, try to be a LITTLE realistic.

I had no idea that this was such a sensitive subject with you, I thought we were cool, and I thought you were alot tougher than that, but since my post got deleted and you are now referring to me as "that person", then I guess not :1orglaugh ...Trust me, I have plenty to say to you in response, but I'm not going to get into any type of truthful convo. with you if you obviously can't handle it, so I'll bow out, and just wish you and your 60 year old rich boyfriend with the great personality much future success and happiness.
