i think it had something to do with the east India trading company. but yeah, its odd.
Source Interesting. :thumbsup:The History of India Pale
In the late 18th and early 19th centuries there was a considerable trade in beer to India. Leaving the India Docks in London, ships would sail around the Cape of Good Hope through the Indian Ocean to Bombay and beyond, a three-to four-month trip. Highly hopped palebeers brewed to withstand the trip became known as “IPA,” India Pale Ale.
I'm a coors light kinda person. Everyone I know hates it, but I can down those suckers like no other.
if you're saying "Bud Light" or "Coors Light", or espousing how great a COLD beer is, you're not drinking for flavor

they are missing the whole point of beer. Like going to a NY Deli and ordering a PB&J or visiting Naples and dining at the Olive GardenWhich of course means that they're not as sophisticated as you, is that where you're going?

Belgian beer, best in the world !
i vote turpentine, thenno no. there's different reasons for drinking beer. one may be for pure taste, but another strong reason is to get drunk. sometimes, it just doesnt matter how it tastes.
