Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
Years ago, there was a syndicated Western on called Lazarus Man. It was great, IMO. The previews of AMC's Hell on Wheels sort of reminds me of that - like a mix of Lazarus Man and Outlaw Josey Wales. It's worth a try anyway. :dunno:
I was going to give it its own thread, but since I mentioned it here, is anyone watching Hell on Wheels? I still haven't made my mind up about this one. I'm trying to like it though.
But the best show that I've stumbled across recently is Boss, with Kelsey Grammer (of all people) playing a ruthless Chicago mayor. It's like a modern day version of Boardwalk Empire... but MUCH better and less cartoonish (IMO). That show kicks some serious ass. It comes on Starz. But if you don't get Starz, I guess you can still watch it on Netflix (until their deal runs out in a month or so). I'm used to seeing Grammer as Frazier Crane... the gayish psychiatrist from Cheers. But the dude is down right scary playing Mayor Tom Kane. I'm talking "have your baby daughter shot in the face cause you stepped in front of him at the grocery store" scary.
