What is the latest good film you watched ?

First Casino Royale was a comedy/spoof. This is a drama right?

Its a straight up action movie. However its a lot more believable than usual. Daniel Craig is very cold, sometimes brutal. The first hour or so is really good. If you liked what they did with the caped crusader in Batman Begins you will like this!

Thanks,

Daniel Craig comes off as very cold and brutal to me. Maybe past roles he was in?

My favorite Bond film was "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", and I don't think any other's have come close. Maybe this one will.

I know Bond is supposed to be suave, but I know a lot of people that want to see this movie because it seems Daniel Craig makes a more brutal Bond and isn't just a pretty boy. I wasn’t sure about Craig in the role, but maybe I was too quick to judge.

At the risk of sounding like a lazy scag who doesnt google.. I'd rather just ask you; OHMSS was the one in the mountains.. with the girls who were secret assassins, right? Was that the one with George Lazenby? Heh, I have little memory for some movies..

Telly Savalas played Blofeld who had a behavior modifying lab in the Swiss Alps as a treatment center for alergies. The first Bond film after Sean Connery, Lazenby playing a student of family crests and names went up there to the mountaintop where he met Blofeld and the "programmed" girls in a rotating restaurant, Piz Gloria. Almost all the film is in snow, and also starred Diana Rigg. Can't get a good Google Earth Location on the building that's still up there.

'Casino Royale' - KICKASS 007 movie!
Daniel Craig is the kind of James Bond I've been hoping to see for years.

Good stuff. I had a feeling this movie was going to be rougher when I first found out Quentin Tarantino originally wanted to direct it.

Saw Casino Royale yesterday. Some really good action scenes. This James Bond is a little bit more sinister than the other Bond's.

saw Casino Royale last night. The critics are right, Daniel Craig is awesome.

I'm not sure of how amazing the film is though? It's probably in my top 5 Bond films, but i think it's only because of Craig. It goes on for quite a bit... just when you think its finished, suddenly another scene pops up..

For the guys who have seen it, what did you think of the scene with the "rope" and "chair" (dont wanna give too much away) I could barely watch it...

I can't wait for the next one!

A History of Violence (2005)
Pretty good film starring Viggo Mortensen and Maria Bello. I knew Maria was hot but after seeing this movie she has definitely moved up the totem pole.
