So RKO3:16, you saw it at the IMAX right? I got tickets for it as well, but I'm worried because I'm in row 4 from the front, is that gonna be too close to the screen?

Anyone else been to the IMAX? Is it much better sitting further back?

I wish. But no.

Nearest IMAX to me is about a 3 hour drive. I'll likely be seeing TDK about 2-3 times in the theater, but unfortunately 0 in an IMAX. :( :crying: :dunno:

rows 4-6 are the sweet spot.

row 3 is the best spot for when you've seen it twice already and you just want to enjoy it.

if you go at the back then there is no point in going to imax.

Alright people. If you had a chance to be in Chris Nolan's "Batman 3" screenwriting meeting--which villain/villains do you want to see in the 3rd film? If you can even make a casting suggestion--go for it.

I want:
The Riddler -- Clive Owen. This would be genius.
Bane -- The Rock (?) The Rock is actually a pretty good villain actor, I think.

To the Batman "scholars" on this site--which villains from his "canon" which haven't been brought to screen could they look at?

Comic Movie Marathon:
The Dark Knight (second time)

I'm really thinking about going to see it again this week, that will be 3 for me,or I can just wait for IMAX.They are supposed to be sold out in my area for like a month.

The Riddler is one of those types of villains I don't know if he would make a good villain in a movie without it either forcing it to be over the top or majorly changing his character from what it is classically.

i just saw "the dark knight" and i must say. it was fantastic. and heath ledger, God rest his soul, was brilliant as the Joker. i recommend it to anyone and everyone

I want

Bob Hoskins as The Penguin (he sold me on the idea of being awesome as Oswald with his role in Hollywoodland. The entire time I watched that film, I kept thinking what a truly great Penguin Hoskins would make. I can easily see him as more of a mobster type Penguin that is more in line with the comics than the Burton/Devito version).

Angelina Jolie as The Catwoman. I've seen other suggestions, but Jolie would make a great contemporary for Bale. And I can easily see her as his equal, unlike other names I can mention that can come close, but not in the same way as Jolie could. Course, that's just me.

Clayface is one.

Although with him .... I would wager more than likely that Nolan would go with the original Bob Kane/Bill Finger Clayface where he was a psychotic killer who wore a mask made out of clay, rather than the decidedly more fantastical version everyone is more familiar with that shapeshifts.

The Mad Hatter

Theres a number of ways Nolan could interpret him into something more workable for his Batman Universe, but I really consider him something of a B-Grade kinda villain. Certainly not one that could carry an entire film. Especially following Ledger's Joker.

Scarface & The Ventriloquist

Kinda the same as above. Could be cool, and workable. But not a character I would consider a contender for being a main villain for an upcoming Batman film. Unless of course, we are talking about a role similar to The Scarecrow's in Batman Begins. Then Mad Hatter, and Scarface could really work in that type of role.

Killer Croc

I can see this one working well, but wonder if his role in Batman: Gotham Knight would have any affect, if any, on him appearing in a future live action Nolan Batman film.

Black Mask

He was recently murdered in the comics, but he's certainly a villain I can see as a major contender in being perhaps a main villain for a Batman film.

Hush

Not a big Hush fan, but maybe. Doubt it.

Man-Bat

Could possibly be something special.

I'm digging the batman villain/actor ideas, but maybe that would be better suited to the dark Knight (box office smash) thread, since that seems to be the place for current discussion on all things batman movie related.

these ideas are kinda getting pushed out of the way here, and/or taking away from other movies that people want to bring up.

I watched Z.O.D.I.A.C. again. Man I love that movie.

Before that? Strike Witches Episodes 1 thru 3. I'd forgotten how much the japanese love their catgirls.

I think he could work fine. There would be no green spandex and "?" marked clothing...

Clive Owen did a Spike Lee Bank movie (THe Inside Job) where he was the mastermind of a bank robbery in which he sort of does what The Riddler would do--pull off a massive caper and taunt/leave clues to the crime. Seeing as Clive Owen already did this kind of role, maybe Nolan would look elsewhere for his Riddler...

The Riddler--Edward E Nigma--would have to leave almost unbreakable codelike taunts...
