The story seemed to become a little out of control, I think that's my point. I do have a serious problem with Batman in this film, but I'll wait til other people see the film before I quiz people as to what they think about it...
There better be a 3rd film. I need to see what Chris Nolan would do to The Riddler (Jim Carrey practically destroyed this great villain) or Poison Ivy, or Bain??
I think that the people that feel this way about the story don't quite seem to grasp that this isn't a superhero movie at all. It's a crime drama that has comic book characters as the main characters.
Think of the movie The Departed(don't tell me that you didn't like that either),very in depth story with great character development and a solid plot. It's obvious that that's the way that Nolan intended his vision of the franchise to be.Not necessarily like The Departed, per say,but more like that type of movie instead of another over the top, totally unrealistic movie that's totally comic-bookish.
As far as a third film,I would be 100% content if they decided that this is it.There is some real potential for doing something good with the Riddler(I would personally like to she him as a serial killer like Jigsaw from the Saw movies, with the traps and everything),but Poison Ivy and just about every other villain in Batman's Rogue's Gallery just wouldn't work for the world that Nolan and Goyer have created.
