What is the latest good film you watched ?

The story seemed to become a little out of control, I think that's my point. I do have a serious problem with Batman in this film, but I'll wait til other people see the film before I quiz people as to what they think about it...

There better be a 3rd film. I need to see what Chris Nolan would do to The Riddler (Jim Carrey practically destroyed this great villain) or Poison Ivy, or Bain??

I think that the people that feel this way about the story don't quite seem to grasp that this isn't a superhero movie at all. It's a crime drama that has comic book characters as the main characters.

Think of the movie The Departed(don't tell me that you didn't like that either),very in depth story with great character development and a solid plot. It's obvious that that's the way that Nolan intended his vision of the franchise to be.Not necessarily like The Departed, per say,but more like that type of movie instead of another over the top, totally unrealistic movie that's totally comic-bookish.

As far as a third film,I would be 100% content if they decided that this is it.There is some real potential for doing something good with the Riddler(I would personally like to she him as a serial killer like Jigsaw from the Saw movies, with the traps and everything),but Poison Ivy and just about every other villain in Batman's Rogue's Gallery just wouldn't work for the world that Nolan and Goyer have created.

I'm with you darkwarrior.I've already seen it twice and it was better the second time watching it.I agree 100% with what you said.I just can't understand how anyone would have anything to complain about this instant masterpiece.I'll give you the Maggie Gyllehall thing, titsrocks, because I think that she's one of the most unphotogenic actresses out there.Didn't like Katie Holmes either but they definitely went from bad to worse looking with the lead female.

Aside from that, this movie is perfect and absolutely,110% lives up to the hype.

And now the wait for Watchmen begins. And Terminator Salvation looks to have some real potential as well.

I can't wait for the new James Bond...that looks awesome! I didn't know they were doing another Terminator...it, too, looks sweeeet. I was shown a trailer for what I will go ahead and call it the worst film of this decade--Tropical Thunder? Jeez that looked like shit.

I didn't think Katie Holmes was great either. She atleast "seemed" like a childhood pal of Bruce Wayne. Maggie looked like Bruce's aunt:rolleyes:! I think Katherine Heigl or Jennifer Garner would've been better in the Rachel Dawes role.

I need to give a shout out to Aaron Eckhart. He was very good in TDK.

Anything with Ben Stiller is going to be shit as far as I'm concerned.

Kathrine Heigl=no good
Jennifer Garner=can't see it

I guess they wanted to get someone that wasn't too popular or strikingly good looking to take attention away from the main characters. It worked.

I definitely have to check out the new James Bond film, Daniel Craig is the new Steve McQueen. I might check out Tropic Thunder, it's looks pretty funny but I don't think I'm going to go opening weekend. I think I'm one the few people who didn't mind Katie Holmes in Batman Begins and I think she looks hotter than Maggie Gyllenhaal. Aaron Eckhart erases all memories of Tommy Lee Jones.

The Dark Knight is the shit. End of story. I have to see it again to see if it takes Tombstone off the top spot of my favorite movie of all time.

Before now I actually never had a favorite movie of all time. It's because I liked so many films I could never choose. Then The Dark Knight came out and as you can see in my signature, I now have a favorite movie of all time.:)

Black Sheep.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Sheep_(2007_film)

A horror comedy from New Zealand about genetically mutated sheep that go on the rampage. Anyone bitten turns into a Weresheep [bit like a Werewolf]. Daft I know. But it is actually pretty decent. And there is also a lovely lady in it. Danielle Mason. Her name in the movie is Experiance. I hope we see more of her in the future.

The Dark Knight

Ledger, simply put, knocked this baby straight out of the fucking park, and into the fucking stratosphere with his portrayal of the Joker. And the film itself, largely benefits from his participation as well. I mean, I absolutely fell in love with Nicholson's Joker as a kid back in 1989, and here in 2008, I can safely say the same damn thing has happened with Ledger's Joker. And perhaps, even more so! The guy deserves a Oscar nom if anything else. Heath was nothing short of amazing.

Cant really say I have much to nitpick about with this flick. I enjoyed every fucking second of it. Hell, if the only thing I can think of offhand that I can nitpick about is wishing Scarecrow had a slightly larger role, then I know I enjoyed myself watching this. Nolan and company far exceeded any expectations I had walking into this (and believe me, they were high). I'll definately be checking it out again at some point.

The Dark Knight was perfect. You don't even have to be a comic book fan, or even a Batman fan, to love this movie. It has everything you could ever ask for. The acting is amazing, the storyline is perfect, and the action is off the scale. Heath Ledger blows you away as the Joker and Christian Bale is amazing as always. Like others, I wish that Cillian Murphy (Scarecrow) could have been in the movie more, but hey...you can't have everything. Please, see this movie.

I saw "Wanted". Very nice action movie. Miss Jolie knows how to drive Vipers and Vettes with brutality and has a very good trigger pull with 1911 hardballers.

The Dark Knight

I went last night with my friends and I really liked it.I encourage anyone who has the opportunity to see The Dark Knight in the IMAX format, It's impressive beyond imagination. The Dark Knight is The Godfather of superhero movies. The Dark Knight had everything, skin crawling performances, complex story telling, and profound ideas,oh and did I mention that the film is completely badass!

I'm bringing my girlfriend to go see it again tonight, The Dark Knight kicked ass!

I concur with RKo, the Dark Knight was just incredible! I felt that too much was made of Ledger's death, saying he was Oscar worthy, but after seeing his performance, mark it down as a win! One of the finest movies you will ever see.

"I believe in Harvey Dent!"... and Batman and the Joker and Jim Gordon...

Just got back from watching The Dark Knight again, and my girlfriend actually liked it, she never liked any Batman movies before, but she liked this one.It is Awesome to watch it in IMAX format, the place was packed.I'm just glad we got their 20 mins before the show started, cause people came in like 10 mins before showtime. The Dark Knight is the best movie of 2008!
