porn is the great Lady Justice... I know better than to trust a guy who says he's never seen porn... he's lying or he's so closted and naive he'd be prey to anyone about anything.
And equally important, I know to keep the 'friends' that want to watch porn with just me or hit the strip club before lunch at arm's length (preferably someone else's arm) because they EXPECT...
impossibly augmented breasts to be as sensitive and responsive as the real thing; that every girl or woman secretly wants them (and by extension their buddies); that my looking at porn means at some level i want to share my girl with him (?! what, dude, not even a loaner for trade!?); that his fantasy job of starting a rock band after the age of 30 and his real job as an out of work framer will pull hotties better then the arrogant lawyer with the Lotus & Rolex; that the performance on stage or screen is really for them.
Oh, and I've learned that the majority of people who are passionately opposed to porn are either jealous of the pleasure others apparently get from sex or talking about/ watching/ thinking about sex, or fall into the first category I mentioned, and hold opinions I do not need to consider endorsing or accepting about others' behavior in a free society.
I've learned that as bad as the actors and actresses can be in any porn I've ever seen, they're honestly getting down to it... MSNBC, CBS, et al want to titillate with snatches ( heh ) of porn guaranteed to attract an audience, only to decry how destructive and awful it is.
I've learned that porn can be a crutch, a club, a comfort, a point of contention. I've seen it proved smart people make and enjoy porn. I've seen it demonstrated people without a real shot at anything else can make something of themselves taking it off & letting it all hang out.
In short, I'd say in porn you have a microcosm of humanity... but I may be wrong, so I'd better keep studying...
