what game are you playing right now?

I remember playing that ages ago on NES.It was so fucking hard that I couldn't finish it.Plus,my NES would just cut off for no reason right in the middle of the game.

But that is half the fun. I miss those balls hard tear your hair out games. Too many games today seem to hold your hand.

Ehh, don't worry about it. There's a new tourney every month, we get plenty of chances at it. Truth be told, I prefer the "regular season". We pretty much dominate all month until the playoffs start and we end up playing a team full of glitchers that just dangle all over the place without passing.

I can't wait for NHL 13, because I've never seen so many bugs in a game as with '12 (with 2K gone they don't have to compete I guess). Of course I still play it religiously like an idiot.

Right now I can't stop playing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Finally catching up on the series and this one is amazing!

Me too, it's too addicting to not play for more than a couple of days.

You are a total vagina, dude. Total vagina.

its backwards. fucking backwards! why? because they stole the fucking controller and had to change it.

this is a real controller:

I understand you love the classics, Squally, but if you had an Xbox you could play shitloads of arcade games. They have tons of classics and *quality* new ones every week that A) don't require you to be a wizard with a "new-fangled" controller and B) Don't cost much money. Not to mention you can use Netflix, Crackle, Facebook, Youtube, Last.FM, HULU, Twitter and apparently Internet Explorer relatively soon.

i already play arcade games.. on other systems.

and like i said i fucking hate the xbox controller. and its not "new fangled" im not old or anything.. i said its designed in an awful way. ive been with nintendo since the beginning. if you take a look at the snes or ANY of the other nes systems controllers, you will notice the buttons are different than the xbox's. to me, they are backwards to what i know.

when it says to push A, i end up pressing b. and when it says push x, i push y. why? because nintendo owns that controller format. and xbox had to modify it to be legally distinctly different. the playstation did it with the shapes instead of letters. i think they were smart enough not to confuse the living shit off of nintendo players like xbox did.

also.. i dont get the end of what you're saying. as in...you can use that stuff on an xbox? why would i want to? i have a pc... and i wouldnt use most of those things away. ive never even heard of crackle or last fm and i just dont do social networking sites. just not my thing. i have a close knit family and everyone i want to talk to i just call up or visit.

but, i think you are confused on my take on things. and taking me way too serious. i play all sorts of games. i dont just stick to shit from the 80s as you are implying i just think that the snes made the best and funnest games. add that with the nostalgia factor and i could live on it. honestly, im just not into big graphics games. as stated before around here, it seems that a lot of games have concentrated more on the graphics than the actual gameplay itself.

the other day i tried to play what i think was black ops or something on xbox. there were a bunch of zombies in a nazi building. hated the game play. looked crazy realistic but just not my thing. i never liked first person shooters though. i was fine watching thoe other people play it but i wouldnt buy that game nor the system. just not my thing. i have my wii and im cool with that. i have a couple games but mostly im just using it to emulate games i like.

So you don't get confused when the PS3 prompts you to click the "rhombus button", but when the xbox tells you to "hit the green button" you cant figure it out? I understand your other arguments about sticking to the classics and whatnot. I've given up on that. But I refuse to believe that if you tried using a 360 for more than 20 minutes that wouldn't begin to figure out which button was which. I could switch between a 360, N64, Gamecube and SNES with relatively no problems maybe a couple of one-time gaffs. That's not a "L33T G4MER" brag, that's just simple cognitive coordination. Oh, and the thing is ergonomically beautiful. The NES controller has corners! CORNERS!!!!

i dont play ps3 either. the only games ive played on playstation anything was ff 7, 8, and 9. thank god that they use one button throughout. and yes, i hate the squares and shit too. triangle? where the fuck is that? no idea.

and i spent maybe...2 months trying to fumble my way through mortal combat on the xbox when i was visting family. unfortunately, all they had was a fuckign xbox. know what i did? bought the fucking gamecube version as soon as i got home.

just try and imagine my dismay when you HAD to do an 11 hit combo with raiden to proceed when it was 11 fucking backwards buttons for me?

i was so pissed. took me forever! literally forever.

and corners are on... the 8bit nes controller only! pf. corners you can open stubborn walnuts with. or beat your friend with.

but yes, im an nintendo guy at the end of the day. loyal to the original. i just never ran with another company.

I was a nintendo guy throughout my entire childhood. And then they stopped caring about video games and stated with the motion controller bullshit. They stopped making Mario games and started making Mario soccer and tennis and golf and frisbee and frisbee-golf. Goddammit I don't want that shit. It's fun for maybe 5 minutes and then I think "Why am I not sticking a chainsaw gun in a monster's asshole and revving it all the way up through his shoulder?" or "Why am I not shooting arrows at mammoths in a suit of armor made of dragonbones?" or "Why aren't I tearing shit up in Be-A-Pro on my realistic NHL game right now?". Its just sooo much better to me.

I respect classics. The N64 Zelda games are still a couple of my all-time favorites. I fucking love Banjo-Kazooie. I actually just dl'd Banjo-Tooie on my 360 tonight.
