Oh yeah another thing about my country that I hate. We have billions of dollars in military technology. Drone planes, and all kinds of stuff like that, but we still haven't found Bigfoot aka Sasquatch!

Likewise, in Canada we haven't found Ogopogo yet. Like, what the fuck?

Ah yes, obesity. The #1 strain on the American Healthcare system. But people will rather save $4 so they can order a #1 combo supersized in the drivethru rather than, I dunno, do things that actually might make people healthy....
--dedicate 12-1pm as national workout time where people get away from their cubicles, get out of the classroom and EXERCISE Take a walk, rollerblade, jog, play a quick 2 sets of tennis...etc.
--ban High Fructose Corn Syrup. We already banned Trans Fats.
--remove soda and snack machines from high schools
--Tax soda and snacks (Shhhhh.......:thumbsup

People who blare on about "personal Liberty" and then complain about how we're all fat...we'll it sure ain't the Gov't making us fat. That's one thing you can't blame the Gov't for :dunno: As people get fatter and fatter...those health premiums grow larger and larger and the bottomlines of the Health Insurance Companies get fatter and fatter...

Shhhhh........here's the secret...Fatter People = More trips to the Hospital. More trips to the Hospital = more money for the Insurance Companies!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! And the hospitals, of course. My god never let there be an American patient DARE step foot in a Hospital that doesn't have Marble floors, a nice faux patina treatment on the walls, HD monitors everywhere....300 thread ct sheets on the beds...hell, the new American Hospital will look a hell of a lot more like the 4 Seasons if the Hospitals and Insurance Companies get their way...:thumbsup:

Therein lies the flawed liberal logic. You want to ban all of these things that put a strain on the health care system, yet you want to create an even worse problem by legalizing drugs. (Well at least most of you do) As an attorney , I have seen the effects that substance abuse puts on families and the expense burden that the state must bear in treating these people. But yet, it's all about high fructose corn syrup, cigarettes etc. Listen, part of your argument is sound because we are becoming a nation of fatties but if you don't think legalizing narcotics will wreck havoc on our society you are simply wrong. I have seen enough damage to people that are prescribed drugs legally to know the effects. Once anyone can get and use at will, all hell will break loose eventually.

Very few people are being locked up for "pot crimes" unless it is large amounts or they are trafficking . There is a thread on this board at the moment lauding a police chief's suggesting that drugs be legalized.

If cigarettes were criminalized at the moment you would see the same data saying that they were not dangerous as you do for weed.

The smoke absorption to the lungs from pot is much more intense than from a regular cigarette. And it has been proven that pot effects people differently. Even if the research saying pot doesn't cause lung cancer is accurate ( which has not been proven) the effects of smoke itself would cause people to suffer COPD if nothing else. And that alone would be a burden on the health care system,

I hate how the CDA (a conservative christian party) treats the people like small children who don't know what's good for them. It seems nowadays the only thing they want is to control the population.
I hate how the PVDA (labour party) is loosing its identity. They used to be strong party for the people but they're fast turning into a secong CDA.
I hate how not one party is willing to stand up for our privacy and civil liberties. It seems the Dutch constitution is nothing more than a piece of paper to my government.
I hate how my government throws away money on projects knowing beforehand they will fail.
I hate how a large amount of people still continue to vote for the CDA even tho everybody knows having them in power is not good for the country.
