What did all the white dog poo go?

I seem to recall as a kid skateboarding down the street I was constantly on the look out to avoid getting the dreaded white dog poo getting jammed under a wheel, but now you NEVER see it, at least in the UK anywho...

It appears they stopped putting so much calcium in the food, but I was just curious to see if anyone else recalls this random oddity.

As stupid as this thread may look to other people who don't know what the fuck you're on about, I also remember :1orglaugh

:rofl2:............I remember white dog poo as well! :wtf:

as a kid i picked one up and asked my dad "what kind of rock is this".. he promptly smacked me in the back of the head and yelled at me to "drop that, you idiot!!"

....:dunno: maybe this is one of those lost in translation things... but i have no idea what the fuck you're talking about.... white dog poo... i've only ever seen the standard issue black/brownish dog poo over here in the USA. and i've owned dogs!!!! so i haven't a clue what u mean.

ah so now we're getting somewhere, must be a european thing - but thanks for the vote of confidence guys, was starting to worry that maybe I had just finally lost it.

Yes, it must be a European thing. I haven't seen any white dog poo in New Jersey. I think it would be better though if our dog poo turned into a rock-like substance, easy to sweep away I suppose.

LOL, funny this thread should pop up now. I was out for a walk the other day and spotted some fabled white dog cack. :D

It took me back to the glory days when it seemed to be common! Hehehe.

I also recall the days when dog poo was white in colour. These days dogs generally speaking consume a different diet which does not contain the substances which make their excrement white.

I remember it. Admitting out loud to the world that I don't remember ever looking for it. I always thought it was just old poo, kind of mummified if you will. lmao Interesting and different thread I must say. No wonder poor doggies are getting arthritis these days.

i still see it...particularly when the pooch craps and there is a lot of moisture outside. I always assumed it's a fungus or mold that covers it and then dries out on it and makes it white.

That must be saying something. You would think being in New Jersey you would be constantly surrounded by a vast variety of excrement left behind by all matter of living things in the area.
