I mean sure, posting around the forums probably helps, but let's be realistic.

Sadly true, but at least posting members have more voting weight. Having been a member for 3-5 years and made more than 100 posts, my votes are worth 4 each.

Not for the OCSM contest. The top places are held by active ladies.

Agreed! In a "perfect world" it would be the girls that make more than 50% of their income thru webcam, I'd say.
And I thought they were referring to the Miss FreeOnes contest, are you guys talking about OCSM? Am I confused? lol

There does tend to be a bit of confusion here.
The Miss FreeOnes contest does not really have anything to do with the forum per se. However most of the board members tend to vote for the more actively posting OCSMs.
There is a specific OCSM category, and this was limited, this year, to active OCSM's in the first place, so at least we will get a worthy winner.

I don't blame you. There are quite a few people that, like you, don't vote in the contest because of some of the past winners, and because they view it as nothing more than a popularity contest. Like I said though, hopefully this year will be different!

If you don't vote, then the lad(y/ies) that you would like to win have less chance. Don't just bemoan the competition and say how unfair it all is, vote for your favourite. The past 2 winners have (to me) been disappointing. As a Miss FreeOnes winner, and OCSM, you would have thought that they could spare 5 minutes a week to post at least something on the forum.

Active or not, it really doesn't seem to effect the winner in the end it seems. The last two years have been about who had the bigger name and convinced their fanbase to turn out. Sure, some of that happens on these boards, but I'd almost rather it didn't. I'm active on the boards here when I see something interesting to talk about, but felt obligated to post a "come vote for me!" thread. It just felt stupid to me, because I know I'm not one of the big names and therefore have no real chance of winning the prize. So, limit the entries all you like, but what brings people to the site are the big names, and whether or not they really participate will never matter so long as there's a need to generate site traffic. Not a bad thing, really, just reality.

I agree that effort counts unfortunately this is inherently kind of a popularity contest. So I guess the moderator would have to set some kinda rule about which ladies are eligible based on a minimum amount of webcam activity or something. I just like watching you ladies debate here while I got video clips open of y'all that I'm wanking too.

If you look at past contests you'll see why. Freeones does a great job with the contests, but I wish an active lady would win.
