There are too many that annoy me for me to list (and not just American accents). But one that I've always found pleasant to the ear is the southern accent that has a hint of an English accent. My high school English teacher had such an accent and spoke very proper English (of course). Listening to her read a passage was always a pleasure. And I always liked the similar (but northern) accent of Grace Kelly (Philadelphia?). Those hybrid accents accents seem to be most common in people who went to boarding or prep schools.

Out of American accents I like the Midwestern American accent (Which most of the country today uses now anyhow or at least the people in the media do.) because it's probably uses the best dictionary defined pronunciation of words of the English language in the country if not the world and they don't add on much extras like drawls, lips, slurring, lengthening, improper accenting or most other things with their "accent". (Of course some people might find because of that it lacks any character.) Often a women can get away with having an off accent, like women with a Southern accent or a lot of women from the U.K. because it cam be hot, but for men it's more irritating than not.
