Every accent in America can be irritating when taken to the extreme. The very worst offenders however are:

Anyone who sounds like anybody from MTV's Jersey Shore.
80% of white people over 40 living in the SE outside of Florida
80% of black people under 40 living in the SE including Florida.
The thick midwestern/scandanavian tone used by those in MN or WI.
The 'Goodfellas' Italian Brooklyn accent.
Almost every Mexican in California under 30 accent.
Damn near everyone of every race in NY.

the only ones i dont like are the Nawth Jauwsey accent (people from South Jersey speak with very little accent), and to a lesser extent the new york jewish accent.

the way they talked in goodfellas was exaggerated to an extent.
but since then and even more so since the sporanos youve got a whole bunch of people, mostly dudes, going out of their way to copy that accent.
